Book Description
Demarco was still rambling when Jeremy put one hand up in his face in the gesture of 'talk to the hand' and said sharply, "Look! I am so tired of this whole scene right now. Are you going to tell her who I really am or do I need to tell her myself?" Demarco instantly fell silent, his eyes big as saucers as he looked pleadingly at Jeremy. Hearing Jeremy's nasally voice and seeing his suddenly magnified feminine gestures really woke me up with a jolt. Whatever denial I had been experiencing the last few minutes was now gone. I was immediately very aware of the situation that was before me. I looked at Jeremy, then Demarco. I felt my chest start to tighten and my breathing became short and sporadic. I started to back away from them both saying, "Nooooo, noooo this can't be, this is not happening!" As I repeatedly shook my head no, I could feel the tears falling down my face. I screamed at Demarco, "You lied! You lied to me! I asked you if you were gay. You swore to me that you weren't, I can't believe this is happening!" Like most little girls I always fantasized about my knight in shining armor riding in on his white horse and carrying me off into the sunset. Instead of my dream man I got a down-low gay man, a cocaine-addicted famous rapper and a psycho maniac stalker. Yes, you read right. I know that there are other women out there who can relate because they may have experienced at least one of these situations. It is very rare and next to impossible to find a woman who has gone through all three situations, but I did. This is the true story of my life with these three men. As you read my autobiographical memoir you will see that due to bad judgment, bad decisions and loving the wrong man time and time again my life has had many mind-blowing and incredulous episodes. I hope that through reading my story I save the next woman from inevitable heartbreak and devastation disguised as true love.

Book Description
Imagine you worked at a company in which every other week, people you knew were dying. But not just dying: being gruesomely murdered. That is the watercooler topic of the month for workers at Showbiz Studios, once the legendary home to the Hollywood silent movie era. Meet Christian McCorkle, a thirty year-old man-child obsessed with living each day at work as if it were a TV show. Christian only wants a happy workplace for himself and the clerks he supervises in the studio's mail department. Unfortunately, a serial killer, known as the Whistler, has found a plethora of victims on the massive studio lot-executing each one in a grisly manner. If that weren't enough, a secret cult holds meetings on the premises; ghosts walk the corridors; and Christian's least favorite employee, the always-tardy Mu-Chin Chin, may be a spy for the evil head of Human Resources. It's up to Christian and his employees, who call themselves The Unfortunates, to tackle these sinister goings-on before one of their own falls victim to one of the various maniacs who threaten them. Their efforts might even earn these mailroom clerks long overdue raises if they can survive.

Book Description
It’s like a plot from a Hollywood potboiler: start out in the mailroom, end up a mogul. But for many, it happens to be true. Some of the biggest names in entertainment—including David Geffen, Barry Diller, and Michael Ovitz— started their dazzling careers in the lowly mailroom. Based on more than two hundred interviews, David Rensin unfolds the never-before-told history of an American institution—in the voices of the people who lived it. Through nearly seven decades of glamour and humiliation, lousy pay and incredible perks, killer egos and a kill-or-be-killed ethos, you’ll go where the trainees go, learn what they must do to get ahead, and hear the best insider stories from the Hollywood everyone knows about but no one really knows. A vibrant tapestry of dreams, desire, and exploitation, The Mailroom is not only an engrossing read but a crash course, taught by the experts, on how to succeed in Hollywood.

Book Description
The founder of Recovery Management Agency—the world’s first agency devoted to helping addicts heal their addictions by reawakening their souls—uses her knowledge of depth psychology and her personal experience as a recovering addict to help you reconnect with soul, find meaning and live your purpose. On her fifth anniversary of sobriety, Elisa Hallerman still awoke with a hurting heart. This is not right. I am not happy. Sobriety was supposed to fix her, right? Isn’t that what sobriety is all about? Hallerman quickly realized that though she had freed her addiction to substances, she had not freed her soul. After years of trauma and substance abuse, she had only covered up the wounds, rather than truly healing them from within. Despite her sobriety, her current lifestyle – a top talent agent and partner at WME, representing the best of Hollywood’s elite – was making her sick. While she was no longer clinging to drugs and alcohol, she was still using food, men, work, ego-inflation and other addictive behaviors to push away the pain. And so she quit it all, in an effort to ignite her life and reconnect to her soul. Since then, Hallerman received a doctorate in Depth Psychology and established the first-ever Recovery Management Agency, one that helps addicts not only recover and their addiction but reawaken their soul connection and live their unique purpose. Leaning on her studies and expertise, Soulbriety brings together Hallerman’s story, philosophy, and methodology encouraging and facilitating us to use our soul as our map, as nourishment, and to create deep meaning in our lives. Soulbriety is not just about getting sober; it’s about true, soul-centered wellness. It starts when you slow down and grow down, in a way you’ve been yearning for—but probably didn't quite know how to before. To explore your unconscious root system, plumb the depths of your soul, travel your own individual hero’s journey. Hallerman shows us exactly how to get there with step-by-step solutions and incredibly affecting storytelling. And Hallerman is not alone in this endeavor; she has affected thousands of lives, healed many wounds, and inspired countless others to take charge of their life by taking charge of their soul. As actress Jamie Lee Curtis says in Soulbriety’s forward, Hallerman is “a crucial voice for these unprecedented times.”
