Complete copies are most rare. Only 7 perfect copies known, and even fragments are seldom offered for sale. All the leaves here offered are in excellent condition, except for the repaired marginal tears, and are unusually large, measuring 15% x 11% inches. There are several words and marks against specially noted lines in a contemporary hand, written in margins. First published in 2012, this catalogue presents fifty-six Etruscan, Greek, and Italic carved ambers from the Getty Museum's collection—the second largest body of this material in the United States and one of the most important in the world.
