Excerpt from Hymns for Sunday-School Worship MY object, in the present compilation, has been simply to get together a very few hymns for Sunday-school worship such as were not beyond the experience or the understand ing of children, and such as were not likely to be much used in the ordinary church ser vices. Since undertaking the work, I am told that there is a desire for something of this sort, and I am not without the hope that the book may be found useful beyond the limits of my own School, for which it was prepared. I am indebted to a friend for the selection of tunes, which it has been thought best should accompany the hymns.
