Book Description
AN UPLIFTING NOVEL WITH ROMANCE, MYSTERY AND SUSPENSE. Hunter's Revenge - Third in the Clear Creek Series by T. E. Killian As police chief of Clear Creek, Hunter Billingsley hasn't had much of a family or social life since his wife divorced him fifteen years ago and moved to another state, taking their baby girl with her. Hunter would like revenge against his ex-wife for making his sixteen-year-old daughter think he is a mean person who doesn't want her around him. On top of that, Karrie is involved with a group of kids who are getting her into trouble. How can he help her from so far away? His life is turned upside down when Karrie hitchhikes almost three-hundred miles to be with him but doesn't really want to be with him. Then, as if that wasn't enough, someone is out to kill him. Between her job as head librarian at Clear Creek Public Library, and restoring 1965 Mustangs with her dad, Sabrina Elliott stays too busy to have a social life. In fact, she's forty-one and never been married. Sabrina's life is changed when Hunter's daughter comes to her at the library instead of to her father. She quickly realizes that Karrie is afraid of her father. What has caused her mistrust of all people and why did she run away? Can Sabrina encourage a relationship between a father and daughter who have been virtual strangers for fifteen years? All three of them must come together to free themselves of the danger from more than one direction. But can they all come together to form a family? Will they each let God work in their lives to help them to overcome fear, revenge, and loneliness.

Book Description
Seventy-five years after the end of the Second World War the details of Soviet ships, their activities and fates remain an enigma to the West. In wartime such information was classified and after a brief period of glasnost (‘openness’) the Russian state has again restricted access to historical archives. Therefore, the value – and originality – of this work is difficult to exaggerate. It sees the first publication of reliable data on both the seagoing fleets and riverine flotillas of the Soviet Navy, listing over 6200 vessels from battleships to river gunboats, and mercantile conversions as well as purpose-built warships. Divided into three volumes, this first covers major surface warships down to MTBs and armored gunboats, as well as submarines. For every class there is a design history analyzing strategic, tactical and technical considerations, and individual ship detail includes construction yard, key building dates, commissioning, fleet designations, relocations and ultimate fate. Once a closely guarded secret, the wartime loss of every ship and boat (over 1000) is described. Furthermore, the confusion caused by frequent name changes is clarified by indexes that run to 16,000 items. By following the ships through both their wartime and earlier history, the book reveals many aspects of Russian history that remain highly sensitive: clandestine co-operation with Weimar Germany and fascist Italy, the NKVD-enforced closure of Soviet borders, the ‘Gulag Fleet’, the faked Metallist sinking that excused the military occupation of Estonia, and the ill-conceived pact with Nazi Germany. Restrictions recently imposed on historical publications in Russia mean this book could certainly not have been published there – as proven by the fact that most of the authors' Russian collaborators preferred not to disclose their identities. This is undoubtedly one of the most important naval reference works of recent years and will be welcomed by anyone with an interest in warships, the Soviet Navy or wider maritime aspects of the Second World War.

Book Description
Cruising in the motor yacht, Reefer, toward a Mexican honeymoon, Matt and Tanya discover and rescue a wounded Cuban. The refugee is bloody and dehydrated, clinging to life and the broken mast of a shot-up catamaran. The voyage becomes ever more complex and treacherous as the newlyweds take the escaping Cuban to a doctor on Isla Mujeres. The Mexican island offers clandestine medical help for the Cuban and superb diving for the honeymooners, but is also the lair of a deadly Mexican gangster who clouds the sunny climate with danger and intrigue. Helping the Cuban in his quest for freedom catapults all into increasing dangers as they fight their way through: * Complex graft-riddled Caribbean port laws * Pitched battles against high-seas pirates * Rough seas, engine failure, Cuban gunboats * Degradation, cruelty and foulness of a Cuban prison. Can Matt Hunter prevail and save himself, his new bride and the brave Cuban refugee?
