The author composed a unique "Mother's Day Song" both in English and in Chinese versions on his 77 years old birthday. He hoped that his Mother's Day Song could reach certain level of popularity, because that song was based on his short lyrics "For Mammy", that poem had been viewed by more than 147,543 people at the time when the current song was re-written. Protestant ethics has often been associated with work and duty, excluding sensuality, sexuality, and other pleasures. Gerle embarks on a conversation with Martin Luther in dialogue with contemporary theologians on attitudes toward body, sensuality, desire, sexuality, life, and politics.
