Book Description
Did the Mad Butcher of Cleveland also strike in Pennsylvania? From 1934 to 1938, Cleveland, Ohio, was racked by a classic battle between good and evil. On one side was the city's safety director, Eliot Ness. On the other was a nameless phantom dubbed the "Mad Butcher of Kingsbury Run," who littered the inner city with the remains of decapitated and dismembered corpses. Never caught or even officially identified, the Butcher simply faded into history, leaving behind a frightening legend that both haunts and fascinates Cleveland to this day. In 2001 the Kent State University Press published James Jessen Badal's In the Wake of the Butcher: Cleveland's Torso Murders, the first serious, book-length treatment of this dark chapter in true crime history. Though Murder Has No Tongue: The Lost Victim of Cleveland's Mad Butcher--a detailed study of the arrest and mysterious death of Frank Dolezal, the only man ever charged in the killings--followed in 2010. Now Badal concludes his examination of the horrific cycle of murder-dismemberments with Hell's Wasteland: The Pennsylvania Torso Murders. During the mid-1920s, a vast, swampy area just across the Ohio border near New Castle, Pennsylvania, revealed a series of decapitated and otherwise mutilated bodies. In 1940 railroad workers found the rotting remains of three naked and decapitated bodies in a string of derelict boxcars awaiting destruction in Pennsylvania's Stowe Township. Were all of these terrible murders the work of Cleveland's Mad Butcher? Many in Ohio and Pennsylvania law enforcement thought they were, and that assumption led to a massive, well-coordinated two-state investigation. In Hell's Wasteland, Badal explores that nagging question in depth for the first time. Relying on police reports, unpublished memoirs, and the surviving autopsy protocols--as well as contemporary newspaper coverage-- Badal provides a detailed examination of the murder-dismemberments and weighs the evidence that potentially links them to the Cleveland carnage. Hell's Wasteland is the last piece in the gigantic torso murder puzzle that spanned three decades, covered two states, and involved law enforcement from as many as five different cities.

Book Description
This book reveals what you always wanted to know about the issues of life, death and the afterlife. Supported by Scriptures, it reveals shocking truths about heaven, hell and your birthright blessing. There're four components to Gods birthright (covenant) blessing which are His (1) word blessing, (2) peace blessing, (3) wealth blessing, and (4) eternal life blessing. God set this inheritance aside for you before you were born. There's enough abundance in your birthright blessing to fulfill every need you have. It entitles you to dwell in a land of utopia whereby your peace, health, friendships, quality of life, holiness and well being are absolutely perfect. Speaking of the good life, it doesn't get any better than this. This book shows that (1) you have a personal calling on your life (youre created for a purpose), and (2) your racial group has a calling to fulfill. You need to know your personal and racial callings, for they are eternal. Before you can appreciate what God has in store for you, you need to know who you are (the real you that God created you to be). This book reveals the real you. This book also confirms the reality and location of heaven and the materials saints new bodies will be made of. It shows what saints do in Paradise now and forevermore. You'll be delighted and pleasantly surprised to know your heavenly activities. This book reveals (1) where Hades is located (the temporary abode of sinners called the region of disembodied spirits), (2) where the permanent place of torment is located called the eternal lake of fire, and (3) the cursed materials sinners bodies will consist of. In hell, sinners' bodies will burn to ashes and be recycled to burn all over again. God's Scriptures confirm these truths.

Book Description
Not since Hunter Thompson's seminal Hells Angels: A Strange & Terrible Saga of the Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs in 1967 has there been such a thorough account of the Angels. This book documents the gang's bumpy ride from its origins as a Stateside club for WWII fighter pilots to its freewheeling terror tactics of the early sixties, to its absurd flirtation with the hippie scene, to its current status as one of the most powerful underground organisations in North America, rivalling even the Mafia.

A legion has threatened to conquer a distant world, its ruler having declared himself a god. Having already conquered a race of sorcerers, he intends to rule the world with an iron fist, ushering in a new age of domination. He and his armies seem invincible. On a small, unknown island in the middle of the ocean, the wisest, smartest and fiercest of warriors and adventurers meet to discern an alternate future. Their only possibility: a mysterious and ancient artifact known as the Orb of Torjen, a device which, according to legend, guarantees victory in battle. But as they trek across their world toward the object, they face monsters, curses, dragons, demons and supernatural storms that rage against them. And while the tyrant watches them from afar, they are forced to deal with adversity and face the possibility of betrayal. A novel fraught with internal struggles and times when faith alone is the key to survival, Torjen shows what happens when a person is forced to do as the map to the orb commands: to face your own darkness within.

Book Description
Another triple feature! “Unsolved in North America” - the third issue of Serial Killer Quarterly - focuses on 6 American and 2 Canadian cases of multiple murderer in which the slayer has eluded justice. Three years before Jack the Ripper stalked the streets of Whitechapel, a bold and barefoot killer was slipping into Austin's outbuildings to murder and rape black servant girls, sometimes after death. In his Servant Girl Annihilator, acclaimed true crime writer Harold Schechter drags this gruesome piece of Texan history back into the light for modern eyes to behold. 2500 miles north as the crow flies, and 20 years later, a series of bizarre decapitation/arson murders commenced in the gold-gutted Yukon. Canadian serial murder specialist Lee Mellor takes a look at these slayings, along with providing nail-biting articles on America's most infamous unsolved serial murder case, the Zodiac Killer of San Franscisco, as well as the Montreal Child Murders: a spate of tragic pedophile killings which plagued the city throughout the Eighties. Another Franco-American cultural centre was shaken to the core between 1918-1919, when the shadowy Axeman of New Orleans slashed and bludgeoned unsuspecting Italian couples in their beds. Grinning Man Press co-founder Aaron Elliott tells of this jazz-happy native of Tartarus, and his possible (but improbable) connection to organized crime. The mob also appear as unlikely suspects in prolific author Michael Newton's The Mad Butcher of Kingsbury Run. Set against the backdrop of prohibition-era Cleveland, a seemingly-bisexual butcher left at least 10 victims dismembered and disfigured in and around the city while legendary detective Eliot Ness faltered in his attempts to capture the perpetrator. In more recent events, Robert Hoshowsky and Kim Cresswell reveal the details of intriguing serial murder mysteries on America's two coasts: California's menacing Golden State Killer (aka the Original Night Stalker) and New York's Long Island Serial Killer. Considering how many of these offenders may still be at large and lurking in a community near you, Grinning Man Press warns that “Unsolved in North America” may destabilize your sense of personal security, result in intense fear and paranoia, and lead you to invest great quantities of money in alarm systems, intricate locks, and firearms.

Book Description
Descent into Madness And look into the madness, As it burns its tempered black. Could I remember purity And dream I had it back. But when I write of it, The ink burns to the page, Blots out the virgin white, disguises disgust and rage, Tempers all this living, the art that keeps me sane. We burned in hell to turn this black, To sing this verse and want it back To wonder at the piper’s song That called to us from night’s fall. The innocence has gone to be, To sleep the page and not with me; But with the page the purest white, Until with ink, contempt I write; And cover in the darkest black, All that’s been to Hell and back.

Book Description
What Tom Vanderbilt did for traffic and Brian Wansink did for mindless eating, Jonathan Bloom does for food waste. The topic couldn't be timelier: As more people are going hungry while simultaneously more people are morbidly obese, American Wasteland sheds light on the history, culture, and mindset of waste while exploring the parallel eco-friendly and sustainable-food movements. As the era of unprecedented prosperity comes to an end, it's time to reexamine our culture of excess. Working at both a local grocery store and a major fast food chain and volunteering with a food recovery group, Bloom also interviews experts—from Brian Wansink to Alice Waters to Nobel Prize–winning economist Amartya Sen—and digs up not only why and how we waste, but, more importantly, what we can do to change our ways.
