Book Description
A soldier, a Malinois, and a stuntwoman walk onto a TV set . . . Former Special Forces operator Sergeant Crew Gatlin takes everything in stride, even the career-ending incident that separated him from the Army, half a leg, and his beloved working dog, Havoc K027. Putting his life back together and lying low, he takes a job with A Breed Apart and is unexpectedly reunited with Havoc. It’s too good to be true—and the proof is in their first assignment: to work as a K-9 team for a television drama in Los Angeles. Miffed at being relegated to TV fodder, he’s willing to pay the price when he sees the stuntwoman. Being a stunt double allows Vienna Foxcroft to fulfill her acting dream—with a side of MMA—and stay out of the limelight. The same one that plagued her childhood and put her through a nightmare scenario. Now, her tight-knit stunt team are the only ones she trusts. Then in walks Mr. Mountain-of-Muscle and his tough-as-nails dog, and Vienna has a bad feeling her life is about to turn upside down. Ticked as they head overseas for a location shoot in Turkey, Crew guts it up—after all, he has Havoc again. Okay, and yeah—Vienna is going, too. When an attack sends the cast fleeing into the streets of Turkey, Vienna must face the demons of her past or be devoured by them. And Crew and Havoc are tested like never before. Experience the high-octane thrill ride that is the first book in the A Breed Apart: Legacy series. HAVOC-06
Author: Troy Knight
Publisher: Simon and Schuster
ISBN: 1922615668
Category : History
Languages : en
Pages : 276
Book Description
I received a target indication from one of the rear team members and observed movement coming from the left of the area of engagement. I then saw them, two enemy fighters moving to a new position. I must have let rip about twenty rounds and not one of the rounds hit them. I had missed completely! “You shit shot,” swearing at myself under my breath. My teeth were clenched and I was pissed off at my own incapability with a rifle, however, I realised I had a primarily role to play and that was as the Platoon JTAC. Havoc-06 is the call sign of former Australian Combat Controller, Troy Knight. As a Royal Australian Air Force Airfield Defence Guard, Troy had not found the military adventure he sought; combat operations. His thirst for overseas deployment saw him privately contract his services in Iraq and South East Asia, but when he got whiff that the Australian Defence Force was raising a new defence capability, he couldn’t help but want to be part of it. The new Defence capability, termed the ‘Special Tactics Project,’ would see Troy undertaking the gruelling Commando Selection course and passing, making him one of Australia’s first Combat Controllers attached to the Australian Army 2nd Commando Regiment. As a member of the Special Forces unit, Troy’s lifelong dream of taking part in combat operations would come to fruition, but the reality of his dream would also play havoc on his life. Havoc-06 is the untold story of the Australian Combat Controller, but it is also Troy’s personal story and one that will resonate with so many.

Book Description
It's amazing what you're capable of when you have nothing to lose... Collateral damage. That's what my family was--collateral damage in a mafia war. They were my whole life. But I've found something else to live for. Vengeance. I was a wife. A daughter. Now I'm Havoc. Every last one of the bastards responsible will die. No one can stop me. Not even him. Nico Romano, Don of the Italian mafia, is a complication I don't need. He's too much like the monsters I hunt--savage, ruthless, cold. An enemy. I shouldn't want him. But I do. Falling for him might cost me my shot at revenge and the only thing of value I have left. My soul. Too bad I'm starting to think he might be worth it... Havoc, book one in The Discord Series, is a sexy, dark and angsty, enemies-to-lovers mafia romance featuring a heroine who will stop at nothing to avenge her family, and the brooding, alpha anti-hero who will do anything to keep her...even when it involves kidnapping. Happily ever after guaranteed. Download today, but grab a glass of ice water first. You're gonna need it. Be Forewarned*** This is a dark mafia romance. There are mentions of family loss, scenes with explicit violence, and some dub con. There is a HEA for this couple, but the overall story arc ends on a cliffhanger and does continue from book to book.

But when Thad arrives at the castle with Sofiya, they make a startling discovery. Not only is Havoc hiding the machine, but he has also been experimenting on a little boy. Now Thad finds himself caught in a mystery he must quickly unravel before havoc reigns . . . Praise for the Novels of the Clockwork Empire “Action, adventure, dirigibles, and mad scientists, oh my!” —Night Owl Reviews on The Impossible Cube “Harper creates a fascinating world of devices, conspiracies, and personalities. . . . Harper’s world building is well developed and offers an interesting combination of science and steam.” —SFRevu on The Doomsday Vault “My favorite book in the series yet. I’m not sure whether that’s because I’ve become so enamored with the world of the Clockwork Empire as a whole, or that the action sequences are nearly relentless, which a definite plus in this case.” —That’s What I’m Talking About on The Dragon Men

Defiant, Blenheim and Havoc Aces
Author: Andrew Thomas
Publisher: Bloomsbury Publishing
ISBN: 1780964382
Category : History
Languages : en
Pages : 223
Book Description
An illustrated history of three pioneering fighters. The Defiant and the Blenheim enjoying early successes until they came up against the vastly superior Messerschmitt Bf 109, and the American-built Havoc. The Blenheim IF flew some of Fighter Command's early offensive operations, and the type soon proved vulnerable when pitted against single-seat fighters. However, for much of 1940 the Blenheim fighter squadrons provided the RAF's main long-range convoy escort and nightfighter capability. In the mid-1930s, in an attempt to capitalise on its expertise in power-operated gun turrets, the Boulton Paul Company developed the Defiant, a single-engined fighter in which all the armament was concentrated in the turret behind the pilot. Intended as a 'bomber destroyer', the Defiant had its combat debut over Dunkirk, and initially achieved some considerable success. A number of American-built aircraft called Douglas DB-7 light bombers (named Havoc by the RAF), were fitted with radar for nightfighter duties and others successfully replaced the Blenheim as night intruders. As this book outlines, a total of 11 pilots claimed five or more victories when flying these three types to become aces, whilst no fewer than 33 who became aces claimed at least part of their scores when flying the Blenheim, Defiant or Havoc.
