Socket is carried by two fulcrum-block pins, which screw into sides of socket and project inside socket frame to form a bearing for two arms of fulcrum block. A vertical lug at bottom of socket fits in socket slide, which has an arc-shaped surface bearing in sight bracket. Inside bearing surface is a worm thread meshing with leveling screw mounted in sight bracket, provided with a turning knob and held in place by collar turned on one end and pin and collar on other end. Cross level is mounted in socket near leveling screw. A plunger stud is pinned in socket at top of sight bracket and has plunger pinned to it.
