El objeto de la siguiente tesis es: El diseño y cálculo de un motor de combustión interna con cá-mara variable, para determinar el número de octano de las gasolinas, así como, su comportamiento cuando se ensayan gasolinas con antide-tonantes. También se pueden hacer pruebas de potencia ya que la potencia varia con la variación de la relación de compresión y esta se logra con la cámara de combustión variable. En el diseño del motor, se incluyen el cálculo del balance de las fuerzas de inercia de las masas con movimiento rotatorio y, el cálculo del balance de la primera armóncia de las fuerzas de inercia de las masas con movimiento alternativo. En el proceso del diseño y cálculo se notrara que, algunas pie-zas como, el émbolo, la biela, las válvulas, el distribuidor y el car- burador se tomaron de otros motores. Otras piezas se calcularon por similitud con motores análogos. Caracteristicas del motor: Mono-cilindrico 4 ciclos 2 tiempos Velocidad n= 1600 rpm Potencia efectiva - 4.5 CV Relación de compresión 15 : 1 y 3.5 * 1 Carrera del émbolo s = 75.726 mm. Diámetro del cilindro = 84.14 mm.
