Book Description
SHORT SUMMARY: Beyond Genesis offers an alternative explanation for the origin of man that is unique and different from either side in the familiar Creationism versus Evolution debate. The author explores a refreshingly new interpretation of the book of Genesis that he believes was not meant to be understood completely until the present age of information and reason. He reveals new insights which uncover a storyline in Genesis that has gone unnoticed through the ages. He offers timely new explanations for all the other "myths" of Genesis, including the source of Cain ́s wife and the flood of Noah. All hypotheses are based on sound, recent science and the field of genetics, and are supported through references to the original sources. The central theme of the entire book is that the book of Genesis really is accurate historically, and that modern man is a product of BOTH the evolutionary processes, and a unique, separate line of man, the one referred to in Genesis. The book also reveals that the "plan" for man is not finished. LONG SUMMARY: There has been considerable interest lately in the debate between science and religion over creation and the existence of God. In order to gain a larger base of support, many religious groups are changing the wording of their agenda from 'Creationism" to 'Intelligent Design" because of problems with the stories in the book of Genesis. If we study the history of man as contained in the book of Genesis, and compare it to the archeological evidence, we do find that there are some common grounds. The differences exist mostly because historians refuse to consider the stories contained in the Bible as anything other than myths or exa

Book Description
"Where exactly in the Bible does it say God only created one man in the beginning? Have you ever read the story of creation, and wondered who it was Cain was fearful of when he told God he was afraid those who found him would slay him? Have you wondered who the mark God put on him was a warning to? Have you ever wondered why Cain, after being sentenced by God to be a fugitive and a vagabond, to wonder the earth by himself, never did? This book was written to help you see the answers to these questions in very clear terms, straight from God's Word. Knowing that the Bible needs no interpreter, as it interprets itself, it's safe to say you only really need to read your Bible to answer these questions for yourself. Still, many have read the creation story, and, having completely missed what is clearly written, managed to come up with some incredible Bible gymnastics to explain these events. What I want to do, is not simply answer these questions for you, but rather to show you what the Bible actually says and how it clearly made it so that theses should never have been questions to begin with. When you are done reading this book, you will not only know where the people Cain feared came from, but also, when they first appeared, and where Cain's wife came from also. You will understand why Cain did not serve his full punishment and to who his punishment was passed on to."

Book Description
A breakout bestseller in Italy, now available for American readers for the first time, Genesis: The Story of How Everything Began is a short, humanistic tour of the origins of the universe, earth, and life—drawing on the latest discoveries in physics to explain the seven most significant moments in the creation of the cosmos. Curiosity and wonderment about the origins of the universe are at the heart of our experience of the world. From Hesiod’s Chaos, described in his poem about the origins of the Greek gods, Theogony, to today’s mind-bending theories of the multiverse, humans have been consumed by the relentless pursuit of an answer to one awe inspiring question: What exactly happened during those first moments? Guido Tonelli, the acclaimed, award-winning particle physicist and a central figure in the discovery of the Higgs boson (the “God particle”), reveals the extraordinary story of our genesis—from the origins of the universe, to the emergence of life on Earth, to the birth of human language with its power to describe the world. Evoking the seven days of biblical creation, Tonelli takes us on a brisk, lively tour through the evolution of our cosmos and considers the incredible challenges scientists face in exploring its mysteries. Genesis both explains the fundamental physics of our universe and marvels at the profound wonder of our existence.

Book Description
The book of Genesis introduces three similar wife/sister narratives, commonly thought to be originating from different sources because of their repetitive entries. This research explores the wife/sister narratives in Genesis (Gen 12:10–13:1, 20:1–18, and 26:1–11), and it aims to provide an understanding of the three stories as a whole by uncovering its context by textlinguistic and literary type-scene analysis. Textlinguistic analysis helps us to see how each wife/sister narrative functions in its context, while type-scene analysis emphasizes how the three narratives develop and contribute to the patriarchal narratives through their similarities and variations. Although the traditional type-scene analysis studies recurrent fixed motives in texts, this study focuses much more on literary aspects such as characterization, theme, and plot. Through this study, the three wife/sister stories will elaborate that the patriarchal narratives are not results of different authors, but the well-developed products of a single author. The three wife/sister stories work together to highlight God’s faithfulness to his promises (Gen 12:1–3).
