Abstract: This study examined gender differences in drawings created by children utilizing the Stimulus Drawing Technique (SDT): Draw From Imagination Task. The Draw From Imagination Task consisted of fifty (50) pre-drawn black and white drawings laid out on a desk. Participants were requested to pick two (2) of the fifty (50) images and imagine something happening between the two (2) cards chosen. Subjects drew a response to the imagined interaction between the two (2) cards selected. The participants then drew a response drawing of what they imagined on a piece of paper given by the administrator and gave the drawing a title. The researcher administered the SDT to twenty (20) students, ages seven (7) to twelve (12) years old in an after school program located in the New England Area.
