Book Description
The life of Robert Frost, brilliantly re-imagined by the author of the acclaimed I Should Be Extremely Happy in Your Company Called "a spellbinding prose stylist"(Los Angeles Times), Brian Hall drew extraordinary praise for his novel I Should Be Extremely Happy in Your Company, in which he captured the personal lives of Lewis and Clark. Now he turns his talents to Robert Frost, arguably America's most famous poet. Through the revelatory voice of fiction, Hall gives us an artist toughened by tragedy, whose intimacy with death gave life to his poetry-for him, the preeminent symbol of man's form-giving power. This is the exquisitely rendered portrait of one man's rages, guilt, generosity, and defiant persistence-as much a fictional masterwork as it is a meditation on greatness.

Book Description
After serving for more than a decade as a hydraulic systems designer and regional manager for Motion Industries (div. Genuine Parts Co.), and then as president and chief hydraulics designer for RPT Industrial Technologies for another nine years, Steve studied and apprenticed for more than eight years under Dr. Rafael Guarga, Eng. prof. emeritus and president of the University of Uruguay. During that time, they collaborated and developed a new frost protection method of controlling cold air flows and draining accumulated cold air masses. An avid sportsman, over the last thirty-five years Steve has devoted much of his spare time to introducing underprivileged children to outdoor sports such as fishing and hunting through a nonprofit organization called the Annual Wild Game Feed. Steve now lives in Crestline, California, and enjoys weekends at the lake with his daughters. He is currently president and CEO of Shur Farms Frost Protection, a company specializing in managing cold air flows in vineyards and orchards worldwide. His speaking engagements range from Chihuahua, Mexico, to Ontario, Canada, and virtually every growing region in the United States. His articles and research in frost protection are regularly published in trade journals throughout the world.

Book Description
While our physical surroundings fashion our identities, we, in turn, fashion the natural elements in which or with which we live. This complex interaction between the human and the non-human already resonated in Shakespeare's plays and poems. As details of the early modern supra- and infra-celestial landscape feature in his works, this dictionary brings to the fore Shakespeare's responsiveness to and acute perception of his 'environment' and it covers the most significant uses of words related to this concept. In doing so, it also examines the epistemological changes that were taking place at the turn of the 17th century in a society which increasingly tried to master nature and its elements. For this reason, the intersections between the natural and the supernatural receive special emphasis. All in all, this dictionary offers a wide variety of resources that takes stock of the 'green criticism' that recently emerged in Shakespeare studies and provides a clear and complete overview of the idea, imagery and language of environment in the canon.
