Book Description
- Why are we here and is there a point to life? - Does God exist? - Why doesn't God intervene in natural disasters? - Why is life so unfair? - How do I get the life I dream about? These are some of the biggest and most profound questions of man and for the first time you are going to get the real answers. What you are about to discover in this book will dramatically change the way you think and feel about everything in your life. Since the dawn of time, mankind has hoped against the odds that our existence on earth comes with a divine purpose. A gut feeling tells us that despite the apparent lack of evidence, there is something greater, something profoundly significant that is currently held beyond our limited human comprehension. In our hearts we desperately want to believe that there is such a thing as a loving God and ultimately a place where all the pain and unfairness of life comes to an end. For many, traditional religion offers nothing but dated and incredulous explanations that no longer resonate with society that is rapidly evolving. Millions of people are turning their back on the 'fire and brimstone' faith systems of our forefathers and seeking the real answers. After two decades of searching Craig Beck has discovered something extremely powerful and potentially life changing in the Fragment of God. It took a complete loss of his faith to force a dramatic shift in his own spiritual path. This change of direction revealed not only the answers to those burning questions, but also the secrets to life as we dream it to be, full of abundance, happiness and love.

Each year in the UK, 225,000 people are diagnosed with dementia. The implications for aging church congregations, and for the Christian mission to people throughout their lives, are considerable. God In Fragments aims to equip those engaged in or preparing for ministry to people with dementia. It explores the theological and spiritual challenges of dementia, suggests practical ways to help those living with dementia participate in worship, and offers a wide range of prayers and worship outlines. • Part One offers theological reflection on living with dementia, spiritual awareness, creating dementia-friendly churches and accessible worship. • Part Two contains services, prayers, readings and activities suitable for those with dementia, for use in formal or informal church contexts, church cafés, care homes and hospitals. In an Afterword, Samuel Wells reflects on unlocking the gates of memory.

Book Description
Lynx is a mercenary with a sense of honour; a dying breed in the Riven Kingdom. Failed by the nation he served and weary of the skirmishes that plague the continent's principalities, he walks the land in search of purpose. He wants for little so bodyguard work keeps his belly full and his mage-gun loaded. It might never bring a man fame or wealth, but he's not forced to rely on others or kill without cause. Little could compel Lynx to join a mercenary company, but he won't turn his back on a kidnapped girl. At least the job seems simple enough; the mercenaries less stupid and vicious than most he's met over the years. So long as there are no surprises or hidden agendas along the way, it should work out fine. ***** Praise for Stranger of Tempest 'The most satisfying thing I've read in a long time. Exceeded expectations that weren't even that low and scratched all my itches. Felt like i needed a cigarette afterwards - it was that good.' It was at that moment that I knew I was going to enjoy this book, it cracked me up and intrigued me.' Goodreads reviewer, ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ 'Stranger of Tempest is a fast paced, fun read with memorable characters that you want to know more about! It's a brilliant blend of humour, action, magic, adventure, and more. I can't wait for the next book! I'm so excited to see where this is all going to go!' Goodreads reviewer, ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ 'A great rip-roaring take, in the style of Dungeons and Dragons. The characters are real and some are likable while others downright despicable. Loved it.' Countering scholarly tendencies to fragment the text over theological difficulties, this New Studies in Biblical Theology volume contends that Exodus should be read as a unified whole, and that an appreciation of its missionary theme in its canonical context is of great help in dealing with the difficulties that the book poses.

Book Description
This volume contains a new translation, with a historical introduction by the translators, of two works written under the pseudonym Johannes Climacus. Through Climacus, Kierkegaard contrasts the paradoxes of Christianity with Greek and modern philosophical thinking. In Philosophical Fragments he begins with Greek Platonic philosophy, exploring the implications of venturing beyond the Socratic understanding of truth acquired through recollection to the Christian experience of acquiring truth through grace. Published in 1844 and not originally planned to appear under the pseudonym Climacus, the book varies in tone and substance from the other works so attributed, but it is dialectically related to them, as well as to the other pseudonymous writings. The central issue of Johannes Climacus is doubt. Probably written between November 1842 and April 1843 but unfinished and published only posthumously, this book was described by Kierkegaard as an attack on modern speculative philosophy by "means of the melancholy irony, which did not consist in any single utterance on the part of Johannes Climacus but in his whole life. . . . Johannes does what we are told to do--he actually doubts everything--he suffers through all the pain of doing that, becomes cunning, almost acquires a bad conscience. When he has gone as far in that direction as he can go and wants to come back, he cannot do so. . . . Now he despairs, his life is wasted, his youth is spent in these deliberations. Life does not acquire any meaning for him, and all this is the fault of philosophy." A note by Kierkegaard suggests how he might have finished the work: "Doubt is conquered not by the system but by faith, just as it is faith that has brought doubt into the world!."
