Excerpt from Annual Report on the Geological Survey of Pennsylvania Sir - In compliance with the third section of the act Of 29th March, 1836, 'entitled, An Act to provide for a Geological and Mi neralogical Survey of the State, I herewith transmit to you the Sixth Annual Report on' the' Geological Survey Of Pennsylvania, as made to me by Henry D. Rogers, Esq., State Geologist. From the limited examination which I have made Of this report, it is manifest that the work Of that Officer 18 yet incomplete, and further appropriations are requisite to carry into full effect the original design of the Legislature, in giving to our citizens, and to the world, a com piete knowledge of the vast mineral resources of the State.'
