Book Description
Founders and Organizational Development: The Etiology and Theory of Founder’s Syndrome is designed to help today’s researchers, faculty, students and practitioners become familiar with the etiology and dynamics of Founder’s Syndrome as an organizational condition challenging nonprofit/nongovernmental, social enterprise, and for-profit and publicly traded organizations. The book uses applied social and psychological theories and concepts to peel away the layers of an organizational enigma, revealing three causes of Founder’s Syndrome and insight into the power and privileges assumed by founders who engage in undesirable and self-destructive behaviors leading to their termination; going from hero status to antihero. Researchers, instructors, students, and practitioners will find thought-provoking case studies from the real world of organization development practice. Segments from interviews during interventions reveal the type of emotional turmoil experienced in organizations where founder’s syndrome is present. Insight is provided into accounts of well-known founders who were terminated or forced to resign. The unique features of this book include: integrating theory into practice, describing a new theory about the psychological reaction of founder’s syndrome victims, prevention ideas when designing new organizations, strategies for intervention, using content based on research and organization development consultation experiences, and, integrating feedback from students who have launched organizations.

Book Description
There is a vast and varied literature on the formation of 19th-century Jewish diasporic communities worldwide. Now, added to this are the previously unpublished autobiographical works of two members of the Schrire family, which form the core of The Reb and the Rebel, mainly covering the period 1892-1913. They comprise a diary, a poem and a memoir. The first two, written by Reb Yehuda Leib Schrire (1851-1912), and translated from pre-Ben Yehuda Hebrew into English, chart his journey through a number of countries, including Lithuania, Holland, England and South Africa. The third is by his son, Harry Nathan (1895-1980). The social history within these documents paints a lively picture of South African Jewish communities at the turn of the 20th century. They reveal tiny details of shipboard life below deck; major issues of religious belief and practice in Lithuanian shtetls, Johannesburg goldfields and District Six homes; and global issues of mass migration, pandemics and war. They show how community formation in Cape Town replicates the orthodoxy of der alte heym, even as the new generation is integrated into a life undreamed of in the Old Country. Analyses of the contexts and authors, together with Appendices which include a genealogy, glossary and catalogued artworks, combine here to make the South African Jewish past come alive.

Book Description
Despite the history that divides them, Hinduism and Orthodox Christianity have much in common. In The Human Icon, Christine Mangala Frost explores how both religions seek to realise the divine potential of every human being, and the differences in their approach. Frost, who has experienced both the extraordinary riches and the all-too-human failings of Hinduism and Orthodox Christianity from the inside, is perfectly placed to examine the convergences and divergences between the two faiths. Inspired by a desire to clear up the misunderstandings that exist between the two, The Human Icon is a study in how two faiths, superficially dissimilar, can nevertheless find meeting points everywhere. The powerful intellectual and spiritual patristic traditions of Orthodox Christianity offer a rare tool for revitalising too-often stalled dialogue with Hinduism and present the chance for a broader and more diverse understanding of the oldest religion in the world. Tracing the long history of Orthodox Christianity in India, from the Thomas Christians of ancient times to the distinctive theology of Paulos Mar Gregorios and the Kottayam School, Frost explores the impact of Hindu thought on Indian Christianity and considers the potential for confluence. With a breadth of interest that spans Hindu bhakti, Orthodox devotional theology, Vedanta and theosis, as well as meditational Yoga and hesychastic prayer, Frost offers a fresh perspective on how the devotees of both faiths approach the ideal of divinisation, and presents a thoughtful, modern methodology for a dialogue of life.

He also addresses the crucial question of power within the community - what it meant, which astronomers had it, and what they did with it.

Book Description
Britain was the first country to recognise art therapy as a profession in the state health service. How did this come about? Can the British experience serve as a model for other countries? Originally published in 1991 Becoming a Profession is the first comprehensive history of art therapists in Britain and of their struggle for professional recognition. Diane Waller discusses the work of the founding art therapists of the 1940s and 1950s and assesses their contribution in detail. She also puts art therapy in a political context, showing how the British Association for Art Therapists worked closely with the trade union movement in its campaigns to get professional recognition. Fascinating reading for all practising art therapists, art therapy teachers and students, Becoming a Profession will also be relevant to anyone interested in the formation and development of professions.

Book Description
8,000 copies of the book have already been sold on Bybit NFT Marketplace on 15 August 2022. With a total trading value of more than $186,000 currently. From the beginning of 2020, everybody's talking about Web 3.0 and the metaverse, where even Facebook changed its company’s name to Meta. The reason is simple - the fundamental aspect is NFTs. The digital age comes with its own lexicon, a bewildering array of buzz words and acronyms designed to confuse as much as they are to inform. Many new terms have found their way into our everyday vocabularies, although the meanings often get confused and blurred. You must be a person who is both curious about the world and has read many news articles about NFTs. However, I guess these articles were not able to answer all your questions, and you want to know how best to start your NFT journey. - Why would someone be willing to pay millions of dollars for a PFP (profile picture)? What’s the value behind it? - Many actors and singers have also released their own NFTs. However, the price quickly dropped by half after their launch. What's going on? - Nike, Adidas, Gucci, Hermès— it seems that big companies globally are entering the NFT market but how do we differentiate those seriously deploying from those just trying to take a cut from the hype? - According to statistics, in the first quarter of 2022, the transaction volume of NFTs reached $26 billion, exceeding the whole of 2021. However, another set of data tells you that the NFT market is down by 92%. Who should we trust? Is NFT the future, or is it just a bubble? We can see that the NFT market is on fire, but it also comes with a lot of chaos. This is the task I want to accomplish in this book: I will help you to discover the essence of NFTs below the surface of hype and chaos, as well as teach you how to master NFT step by step. Start from Zero to become an NFT Hero with my book. Let’s dive into the NFT world together!
