Book Description
Excerpt from Florence, or the Aspirant, Vol. 1 of 3: A Novel By no means, said he; that person will conduct you to a seat. The listener still kept close. Are they of us, thought he. No, was the response, not unmixed with regret, as he saw no outward sign of supplicating for a purified heart, before they should bend the knee in token of respect to the sacred and heart-touching representation of that death, which even, according to their own creed, ushered in eternal life to a lost world.
