Her strongest feeling after he died, was one of happiness and relief. Subsequently, the daughter of Lady Sarah, Juliana de Morley, inherits a large estate from her parents. Before she dies, an old beggar approaches her. Eustace has renounced the Jesuits and returned to England, but dies at her feet.
