Book Description
There have been many books written about moving from rags to riches. What makes mine different? I would say the big difference is that this is "my" rags to riches story. Of all the books that have been written on this subject, none of them were my story. I believe my story will move and touch the hearts of people in a different way than other books. This book is not only about overcoming trials and tribulations, but it also seeks to reveal my true heart, my underlying motivation and the character it takes to rise above poverty to enduring riches. Therefore, I am writing to motivate, encourage and give hope to people who feel hopeless. The most important message that I want the reader to hear is that we live in the greatest and most prosperous country on earth. Making daily sound choices affords one the greatest opportunities to rise from poverty to riches in our great land.

Book Description
I often cry when I read parts of my book. Sometimes it was so difficult and I loved the kids so much. This is far from a How To book. I had no qualifications in child raising. I just wanted single parents to know that they are not alone, and to offer lots of encouragement and love. Raising well loved, healthy children is a great challenge for even two parents who are strong and love each other. Raising children as a single parent can be an overwhelming task. I felt compelled to write this book to tell you that you can do it. I made many mistakes, but somewhere, somehow something worked, and I have two wonderful kids who make me proud to be their mother. We had very little money, but we had so much love. Together we made it happen. We grew together, we worked together, we snuggled and read for hours together. Raising kids is like planting a garden. We sow the seeds and we water with lots of love. One day we reap what we have sown and we are blessed to see the wonderful adults our children have become. I wrote this book to encourage you to be not weary in well doing. Do not despair. Love your children and create a loving environment. Do not hesitate to put your dreams aside temporarily. Your time will come and it will be special because your own child may be your best support and encouragement.

Book Description
"The ABA and most state bar associations have identified a wellness crisis in the legal profession, and called for educating students on how to better cope with the challenges of law school and practice. At the same time, students must learn how to maximize their brain health so that they perform well in law school and on behalf of their clients in practice. The same way musicians would tune their instruments, or chefs would sharpen their knives, law students must sharpen their minds. This book aims to help students "do well" in their ability to learn, and "be well" in the process, by exploring the deep connection between brain health and wellness. Specifically, the book discusses: How to cultivate the ability to deeply focus and deal with the challenges of the 24/7 digital age How stress affects both brain and body How increasing resilience helps deal with challenges and setbacks Why we need exercise for mental, physical, and brain health Why adequate sleep is important and how it can be improved How what we eat affects the brain and one's physical performance Written in a witty, informative, and easy-to-read style, the book is full of suggestions to help students establish healthy and productive habits which will benefit both brain and body. Each chapter ends with a self-reflection exercise to help students take the material and consciously begin implementing its suggestions. This book could be used in orientation programs, academic support and wellness programming, professional development, mindfulness, and other "preparing for practice" courses"--

Book Description
Inclusive Ethics begins from two ideas which are part of our everyday morality, namely that we have a moral reason to benefit or do good to other beings, and that justice requires these benefits to be distributed equally. A morality comprising these two general principles will be exceedingly hard to apply as these principles will have to be balanced against each in an intuitive fashion, but also because the notion of what benefits beings is quite complex, comprising both experiential components of pleasure and successful exercises of autonomy. Ingmar Persson argues that, on philosophical reflection, these ideas turn out to be more far-reaching than we imagine. In particular, the reason to benefit commits us to benefit beings by bringing them into existence. Further, since grounds that are commonly used to justify that some are better off than others - such as their being more deserving or having rights to more - are untenable, justice requires a more extensive equality. The book concludes by reflecting on the problems of getting people to accept a morality which differs markedly from the morality with which they have grown up.
