Thanks to companies like Virgin Galactic, space travel will become available to the public in the near future, provided one has enough money to pay for the trip. In the meantime, you are invited to join in these imaginary explorations. This verse master meets intelligent alien life in space amid lessons of mind0traveling wisdom, interjects a vortex of humor, and is content to exist in an unparalleled acceptance of true destiny within each phrase within her interstellar wit. She plots the excitement of bending space, shaking hands with aliens, and coexisting in a nebula of stars. She hopes these poems offer a unique perspective of insight, which allows the readers to tag along for the ride as though it were their own. After all, its no fun to travel alone!

Praising Nature
Author: Marleen Rita Duckhorn
Publisher: Xlibris Corporation
ISBN:
Category : Poetry
Languages : en
Pages : 299
Book Description
Mother Nature is always there to rely on. We can all evolve joining hands with Her. We have to choose if we are adding to, dividing or subtracting from, or multiplying Her into our lives. To do this we need to be aware, praise, accept and love. If someone divides or subtracts themself from Her intimate, ultimate nature; that is what makes them react to not go entirely with the flow of her innate wisdom. These poems were written to remind and encourage others to be grateful, thankful, and praiseful of Mother Nature's gifts of inspiration. I found fun in the writing of this collection of poems and gained deep introspection captured in my attempt to lend personality to Her wonders.

In Duckhorns twelfth book, Memorable Sayings of Poetry, she is writing from a comforting source that lifts the spirit with her sayings as words to the wise, known by some and shared by all. These strange normalities, as she calls them, are enticing, witty, and memorable; and teach us the messages of the yearning pen. This pen is alive, and the well is the indigo nature of the subconscious. She enjoyed writing about various topics in the eight chapters of this collection, revealing her sayings around every corner.

Double Decked Nature
Author: Marleen Rita Duckhorn
Publisher: Xlibris Corporation
ISBN: 1462819370
Category : Poetry
Languages : en
Pages : 165
Book Description
"Now the dawn of her new book, Double-Decked Nature, has arrived. Like its sibling Red Daughters, Double-Decked Nature, also a collection of poems, is a twin in its purpose: to expose the inner workings of her mind’s chosen topics coming from the expansion of the ever-inclusive and evolving consciousness she finds through life and meditation. The similarities she invents will hit home as she genuinely welcomes the reader along for the ride. The personality of the poet is the understated spirit that surrounds the work and lends much to its appeal. The topical range will astonish as well as the degree of her prolific style. There is a sense marked with the quality there will always be more poems to come. Show more Show less "

This collection of poems is a follow up to Duckhorn's previous book entitled "Say Yes To Time". "Written Rhythms of Space Travel and Earthly Things" joins hands with the times urging us all to appreciate our soul as having a unique life of its own. She encapsulates the idea of space travel, making us light heartedly aware of the dangers in our cosmos. It could become an angry region and not favor us too much in the distant future. "Written Rhythms of Space Travel and Earthly Things" about sums this up and is a pensive read.

Special Religious Education in Australia and its Value to Contemporary Society
Author: Zehavit Gross
Publisher: Springer Nature
ISBN: 3030679691
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 279
Book Description
This book explores the advantages of and challenges concerning Special Religious Education (SRE) in multicultural Australia and argues for the need for General Religious Education (GRE) as well. Through the lens of the most recent scholarship, and drawing on an in-depth qualitative study and specific case studies, the book examines the current debate on the role of religious education within government schools. It addresses key concepts of values education, spirituality, health and wellbeing, and cultural and religious identity. It analyses why it is important to retain SRE, together with GRE, as government policy. It explores highly relevant, controversial and contested issues regarding SRE, including the 30% of Australia’s population who declare themselves as having “no religion”, and brings fresh insights to the table. While secularization has increased in both the national and international spheres, there has also been an increase in fundamentalism within religious beliefs. Events such as the September 11 terror attacks and the more recent mass shootings by white supremacists and eco-fascists in Christchurch, New Zealand, and Pittsburgh and San Diego in the USA are reminders that religion is still a major actor in the twenty-first century. This poses new challenges for the relationship between church and state, and demonstrates the need to revisit the role of religious education within government schools. While the importance of GRE is generally acknowledged, SRE has increasingly come under attack by some researchers and teacher and parent bodies as being inappropriate and contradictory to the values of the postmodern world. On the other hand, the key stakeholders from all the faith traditions in Australia wish to retain the SRE classes in government schools. The book addresses this burning issue, and shows that it is relevant not only for Australia but also globally.
