Book Description
CETTE THESE PORTE SUR L'EXCITATION D'UNE ONDE DE PLASMA PAR BATTEMENT DE DEUX ONDES ELECTROMAGNETIQUES DANS UN CAISSON MULTIPOLAIRE (CARACTERISTIQUES DU PLASMA: DENSITE 1,7.10#1#1 PARTICULES PAR CM#3, TEMPERATURE ELECTRONIQUE 3EV, VOLUME 1 M#3). LES ONDES ELECTROMAGNETIQUES DE FREQUENCE 9,3 GHZ ET 5,6 GHZ SONT EXCITEES DANS LE PLASMA A L'AIDE DE DEUX IMPULSIONS DE DUREE 1,2 MICRO SECONDES ET DE PUISSANCE CRETE 200 KW. LES RESULTATS THEORIQUES SUR CETTE EXCITATION PAR BATTEMENT ONT ETE REPRIS POUR OBTENIR LE COMPORTEMENT DE L'ONDE DE PLASMA DANS CETTE SITUATION EXPERIMENTALE: CARACTERE RESONANT DE L'EXCITATION, MECANISMES DE SATURATION. PARMI CES MECANISMES, LA DEPLETION DES ONDES SOURCE, A ETE PLUS PARTICULIEREMENT ETUDIEE ANALYTIQUEMENT ET PAR SIMULATION. L'EXPERIENCE A MIS EN EVIDENCE, LE CARACTERE RESONANT DE L'EXCITATION DE L'ONDE DE PLASMA, CELLE-CI NE SE PRODUISANT QUE DANS UN INTERVALLE DE DENSITE RELATIVE DE 0,05 POUR CENT INFERIEURE A LA RESOLUTION DE NOS MESURES. PAR AILLEURS LA DEPLETION DES ONDES SOURCES A ETE MISE EN EVIDENCE ; ELLE EST EN ACCORD AVEC LES RESULTATS DE SIMULATION

Book Description
Theory of Oscillators presents the applications and exposition of the qualitative theory of differential equations. This book discusses the idea of a discontinuous transition in a dynamic process. Organized into 11 chapters, this book begins with an overview of the simplest type of oscillatory system in which the motion is described by a linear differential equation. This text then examines the character of the motion of the representative point along the hyperbola. Other chapters consider examples of two basic types of non-linear non-conservative systems, namely, dissipative systems and self-oscillating systems. This book discusses as well the discontinuous self-oscillations of a symmetrical multi-vibrator neglecting anode reaction. The final chapter deals with the immense practical importance of the stability of physical systems containing energy sources particularly control systems. This book is a valuable resource for electrical engineers, scientists, physicists, and mathematicians.

Book Description
This book aims to present a new approach called Flow Curvature Method that applies Differential Geometry to Dynamical Systems. Hence, for a trajectory curve, an integral of any n-dimensional dynamical system as a curve in Euclidean n-space, the curvature of the trajectory — or the flow — may be analytically computed. Then, the location of the points where the curvature of the flow vanishes defines a manifold called flow curvature manifold. Such a manifold being defined from the time derivatives of the velocity vector field, contains information about the dynamics of the system, hence identifying the main features of the system such as fixed points and their stability, local bifurcations of codimension one, center manifold equation, normal forms, linear invariant manifolds (straight lines, planes, hyperplanes). In the case of singularly perturbed systems or slow-fast dynamical systems, the flow curvature manifold directly provides the slow invariant manifold analytical equation associated with such systems. Also, starting from the flow curvature manifold, it will be demonstrated how to find again the corresponding dynamical system, thus solving the inverse problem.
