Book Description
"Chronicles from pre-Celtic Europe" is a factual account of European and Asian pre-history as described in an ancient manuscript discovered in the Netherlands in 1867. The old chronicles tell of an advanced European civilisation that existed more than 4000 years ago; a civilisation unknown to or denied by historians to this day. The manuscript is compared to numerous authors from antiquity and tested against modern sciences such as archaeology, paleoclimatology, genetics, linguistics and many more. Undeniable evidence proves that this highly controversial but captivating document, Europe's "Rosetta Stone", is true in every respect. It shows that West European Civilisation pre-dates Greek and Roman societies by millennia and that many milestones which were in the past attributed to the Greeks, Romans, Phoenicians, Egyptians and others should, in fact, be accredited to North-Western Europe. The old manuscript which became known as "The Oera Linda Book" is still rejected by certain Dutch academics as a "Hoax" or a "Deception Conspiracy" by unidentified pranksters and without a clear motive; their opinions and theories based on no more than intuition. The Oera Linda manuscript relates the memoirs and eye witness accounts of men and women from Western Europe who suffered the biggest catastrophe in the recorded history of man; the event that killed millions and came down to us as "Noah's Flood". The pioneers from Europe's Western seaboard founded the ancient civilisations from Greece to Persia. They introduced the world to carbonised steel, chariot warfare and cavalry charges. They gave man the "Greek" alphabet, "Indo-Arabian" numerals, democracy, free enterprise, monotheism, linen, paper and so much more. It is time to set the record straight.

READ THE PLOT - CLICK TO WATCH THE VIDEO - Paul McQueen has joined all the dots of the Brexit story bringing it to life, guiding you through the tales of treachery and skulduggery. But, with only 2 referendums in 45 years why didn’t politicians have more faith in the voice of the people or is it that the EU redefined the word ‘democracy’? Well researched and presented in an easy to understand format with links to footage of key speeches and newsreels, it gives the reader a clear understanding of how successive leaders led the UK toward an ever closer union until the people said no. Unbiased, accurate and up-to-date it catalogues UK/EU events that got us where we are today. It’s probably the most important book on the subject to be released this year. The Brexit Chronicles is a book you will want to keep for your children and their children. Safeguarding the Truth Matters Accurately documenting the facts is crucial for future generations to understand why the UK voted Leave in the 2016 referendum. Since leaving the EU, safeguarding those truths has become even more important because there are those who are already seeking to re-join and there are those who will twist the truth.

Book Description
Main description: An overriding assumption has long directed scholarship in both European and Slavic history: that Kievan Rus' in the tenth through twelfth centuries was part of a Byzantine commonwealth separate from Europe. Christian Raffensperger refutes this conception and offers a new frame for two hundred years of history, one in which Rus' is understood as part of medieval Europe and East is not so neatly divided from West. With the aid of Latin sources, the author brings to light the considerable political, religious, marital, and economic ties among European kingdoms, including Rus', restoring a historical record rendered blank by Rusianmonastic chroniclers as well as modern scholars ideologically motivated to build barriers between East and West. Further, Raffensperger revises the concept of a Byzantine Commonwealth that stood in opposition to Europe-and under which Rus' was subsumed-toward that of a Byzantine Ideal esteemed and emulated by all the states of Europe. In this new context, appropriation of Byzantine customs, law, coinage, art, and architecture in both Rus' and Europe can be understood as an attempt to gain legitimacy and prestige by association with the surviving remnant of the Roman Empire. Reimagining Europe initiates an expansion of history that is sure to challenge ideas of Russian exceptionalism and influence the course of European medieval studies.

Book Description
The Illuminated Chronicle was composed in 1358 in the international artistic style at the royal court of Louis I of Hungary. Its text, presented here in a new edition and translation, is the most complete record of Hungary's medieval historical tradition, going back to the eleventh century and including the mythical past of its people. The pictures in this manuscript—formerly known as the Vienna Chronicle—are not merely occasional illustrations added to some exemplars, but text and image are closely connected and mutually related to each other, to qualify it as a proper “illuminated chronicle”. The artistic value of the miniatures is quite high, and the characters are drawn with detail and with a knowledge of anatomy. Forty-two of the miniatures are included in the present volume. A full color facsimile will be accessible online. The 147 pictures are an invaluable source of information on late medieval cultural history, costume, and court life. In a historiographical context, The Illuminated Chronicle is an attempt at the popularization of the national history and a systematic appeal to circles beyond the old monastic-clerical audience. The Illuminated Chronicle (Chronica de gestis Hungarorum e codice picto saec. xiv.) is the ninth volume in the Central European Medieval Texts, a Latin–English bilingual series.

Book Description
The overarching theme of this monograph is how a Russian intellectual, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, saw himself in the European context. By reference to various of Fyodor Dostoyevsky's romanesque works, the monograph proposes an account of the development of the European awareness of an author nevertheless greatly attached to his native land, and of his influence on European culture. Sections of the monograph discuss the influence of European culture on Dostoyevsky; his attitude towards Europe; his socio-political, religious and philosophical ideas in relation to Europe; and his contribution to European culture. The monograph concludes that through his quest for a spiritual principle, through his longing for justice but also for freedom, and through his aspiration towards the ideal, Dostoyevsky ranks with the greatest European thinkers. Six one-page "working texts" (excerpts from novels) of Charles Dickens, Dostoyevsky, and Albert Camus; and a time line relating events in Dostoyevsky's life and works to cultural, political, social, and artistic life in Russia and in Europe are attached.
