L'investissement dans la jeunesse par le parrainage au lieu de recréer un système d'assistance relève d'une logique positive et constructive dans l'émergence d'un projet de vie sociale et professionnelle chez les jeunes de 14 à 17 ans. En effet, les constats de terrain issus de nos entretiens préliminaires montrent qu'il existe un déficit de perspective de projet de vie chez les jeunes rencontrés, qu'alimentait une logique d'assistance à laquelle ils sont confrontés. Pour rappel, aujourd'hui, le parrainage par l'emploi est un dispositif qui s'adresse le plus souvent, dans un cadre institutionnel, à des jeunes de 18 à 25 ans, en vue d'une insertion professionnelle; des jeunes dépourvus de projets ou dont les projets sont irréalistes. Pour la catégorie des 14 à 17 ans, il n'existe pas en France de dispositif d'aide à l'insertion professionnelle hors école allant dans le sens de la dynamique de projet de parrainage, d'où l'intérêt de proposer d'autres alternatives. Il s'agit, d'un point de vue conceptuel, de créer ou recréer les conditions du lien social pour ceux et celles qui en sont très éloignés, de participer à la lutte contre toutes les formes de discrimination en proposant une dotation au capital des jeunes. Le parrainage, qui sera proposé à cette deuxième catégorie, ne doit pas représenté une logique de don et d'assistance, mais plutôt une dynamique d'investissement, dans la mesure où le sujet pourrait par sa résilience, sa motivation et son implication, créer les conditions minimales de son insertion dans un projet de vie sociale et professionnelle dans le temps. Dans cette optique, la place de l'adulte dans le projet de l'adolescent et les liens privilégiés sont d'une importance vitale pour la bonne adhésion au contrat de confiance engagé. Ainsi, peut-on dire que les circonstances d'assistance permanente et dans le temps pourraient ne pas favoriser le projet de vie sociale et professionnelle de l'adolescent

In 1973, homosexuality was officially depathologized with a revision in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Psychiatry.
