Por outro lado, o corpo é tratado como uma espécie de máquina a ser disciplinada em estado de confinamento e silenciamento. Essa percepção nos levou a desenvolvermos uma pesquisa com interface na extensão em uma escola pública do ensino fundamental no município de Viçosa (MG) no intuito de entender, por dentro do sistema escolar, como é tratada a educação ambiental e ampliar a capacidade de reflexão e conscientização sobre o meio onde se vive e como o corpo reage. O propósito deste texto é socializar esta experiência a partir de práticas pedagógicas em torno da educação ambiental e corporal. Metodologicamente trabalhamos com pesquisa participante no ambiente educativo dentro e fora da escola. As atividades de consciência corporal e ambiental foram relacionadas com a observação, experimentações corporais e reflexões.
