A educação ambiental tem ficado restrita aos discursos do verde ou do sustentável. Por outro lado, o corpo é tratado como uma espécie de máquina a ser disciplinada em estado de confinamento e silenciamento. Essa percepção nos levou a desenvolvermos uma pesquisa com interface na extensão em uma escola pública do ensino fundamental no município de Viçosa (MG) no intuito de entender, por dentro do sistema escolar, como é tratada a educação ambiental e ampliar a capacidade de reflexão e conscientização sobre o meio onde se vive e como o corpo reage. O propósito deste texto é socializar esta experiência a partir de práticas pedagógicas em torno da educação ambiental e corporal. Metodologicamente trabalhamos com pesquisa participante no ambiente educativo dentro e fora da escola. As atividades de consciência corporal e ambiental foram relacionadas com a observação, experimentações corporais e reflexões.

Cultures of Infancy presents the first systematic analysis of culturally informed developmental pathways, synthesizing evolutionary and cultural psychological perspectives for a broader understanding of human development. In this compelling book, author Heidi Keller utilizes ethnographic reports, as well as quantitative and qualitative analyses, to illustrate how humans resolve universal developmental tasks in particular sociodemographic contexts. These contexts are represented in cultural models, and three distinct models are addressed throughout the text: the model of independence with autonomy as developmental organizer; the model of interdependence with relatedness as the developmental organizer; and the model of autonomous relatedness representing particular mixtures of autonomy and relatedness. The studies brought together in this contributed volume discuss experiences of discrimination, prejudice and exclusion experienced by children, young people, adults, older adults and their families; the processes of socialization, emotional regulation and construction of ethnic-racial identities; and stress-producing events associated with racism.
