El presente artículo describe la transformación y situación actual del sector del coche eléctrico. El creciente protagonismo de las exportaciones de China y el impacto de estas y del IRA, sobre la Unión Europea, demasiado poco integrada cómo para desarrollar una política industrial efectiva y coherente. El análisis de los datos demuestra que contrariamente a lo esperado , La IRA no parece haber afectado por el momento a las exportaciones europeas, lo que indica que la UE está aún a tiempo para reaccionar y sumarse a una carrera clave para la seguridad tecnológica e industrial del S.XXI.
