Publisher: Kotra Siva Rama Krishna
ISBN:
Category : Fiction
Languages : en
Pages : 444
Book Description
Muhura an evil man because of his anger on god decided to expand his empire in the whole of the universe. He started doing atrocities in the world taking the help of bad angels. But the great psychiatrist Sahamooti and parapsychologist Vamsi demolished the palace in which Muhura and his gang were stationed and made them powerless and helter-skelter for a long time. This is the story of the book ‘Amaswitha’ written prior to this book and connected to this book. But this book ‘Sasikala’ can be read and enjoyed without reading the book ‘Amaswitha’ But it has been made clear that Muhura, Ahina and the bad angels would only be scattered, incapacitated for some time but they would not be destroyed completely by demolishing the evil palace which was constructed by Sasinadh at the instance of Muhura for him and his bad angels. It has been further made clear, that Muhura and his gang sooner or later could gather together, get their powers back, strike on their betrayers and the world again. After six months of the demolition of the evil palace, odd and horrifying incidents started to happen again. Aravind’s daughter ‘Sarita’ and psychiatrist Rose’s daughter ‘Emily’ started behaving odd and it has been thought as ‘split-personality’ for sometime. But as psychiatrists Charles and Niranjan’s wives were also behaving oddly, they have to consider the whole of their four behavior in a different angle. Vamsi’s inability to contact Amaswitha anymore along with other odd and fearsome incidents also put them in anxiety. When Sahamooti proposed to make an experiment with the help of Aravind to invite Amaswitha, Aravind agreed to the same. The séance proposed by Sahamooti to invite Amaswitha and talk with her after the failure of the experiment with Aravind, was agreed by each and everyone. How the séance has been conducted, how Vamsi, Sahamooti and Aravind solved the problem of Muhura and his gang forever is the story of this novel ‘Sasikala.’

Constructing Educational Achievement
Author: Sivanes Phillipson
Publisher: Routledge
ISBN: 1136764232
Category : Education
Languages : en
Pages : 326
Book Description
International interest focuses on why pupils from East-Asia tend to outperform pupils from the West and scholars have proposed a number of possible explanations to account for these international trends. Using Vygotsky's theory (1978) as a conceptual framework to "construct" school achievement, this book puts forward culturally relevant context for understanding developmental aspects of children’s school achievement and their implication to classroom practice and education progress. Converging the two important lines of inquiry – the child factor and the sociocultural factor – this book showcases evidence-based scholarly works from across the globe that shed light on causes of academic achievement in different contexts. The book brings together eminent scholars from early childhood, primary education, secondary and vocational education who expertly capture the vitality of development and processes of specific child factors and their interaction with their environment that explain their school achievement. Foregrounded in the five planes of cultural historical, institutional, social, personal and mental, the research explain how children think, learn and form the will to perform amidst the changing social and family environment, and challenging school and educational environment.

Georgia is the new top-ranking destination for adventurous wine lovers. If you are looking for new grape varieties, bold tannic flavours, delicious food and breathtaking natural sceneries you won’t be disappointed. What you’ll discover in these 280 richly illustrated pages: - Georgia's history, culture and the pivotal role wine plays in it; - different wine growing regions and their wine maps; - best terroirs and PDOs; - most popular endogenous grape varieties; - unique 8000-year-old winemaking technology that uses skin-contact fermentation and buried ‘Qvevri’ clay-jars (instead of oak barrels); Whether you’re a wine professional or an enthusiastic amateur, the book will delight you with insights and anecdotes that you can easily share with your customers and friends: - Stories of the main historic Estates provide a glimpse of the complex geo-political trends that have shaped the Southern Caucasus; - Short profiles of the new generation wine makers explain their struggle to shake off Soviet heritage by going back to ancient customs; - The very Georgian tradition of Tamada and Supra that calls to mind the philosophical ‘symposiums’ of the ancient Greeks as seen by French philosopher, Michel Eltchaninoff. A Wheel of Taste to find your favourite Georgian wine Navigating Georgian grape varieties, with sometimes unpronounceable names, can be a challenge. To help you find the best match, Sarah Abbott MW has created a “wheel of taste” that will help you find the Georgian “equivalent” based on your tastes in popular European wines. Last but not least, you will discover all 525 endogenous grapes varieties and learn which one was Stalin’s favourite. The book will prove itself a useful guide to whomever is willing to explore unusual tastes of a country so close and yet so different to Europe.
