Book Description
Beloved American hero and astronaut Buzz Aldrin reflects on the wisdom, guiding principles, and irreverent anecdotes he's gathered—both in outer space and on earth—through his event-filled life, in this inspiring guide-to-life for the next generation. Everywhere he goes, crowds gather to meet Buzz Aldrin. He is a world-class hero, a larger-than-life figurehead, best known of a generation of astronauts whose achievements surged in just a few years from first man in space to first men on the moon. Now he pauses to reflect and share what he has learned, from the vantage point not only of outer space but also of time: still a non-stop traveler and impassioned advocate for space exploration, Aldrin will be 86 in 2016. No Dream Is Too High whittles down Buzz Aldrin's event-filled life into a short list of principles he values, each illustrated by fascinating anecdotes and memories, such as: · Second comes right after first. NASA protocol should have meant he was first on the moon, but rules changed just before the mission. How he learned to be proud of being the second man on the moon. · Look for opportunities, not obstacles. Buzz was rejected the first time he applied to be an astronaut. Failure is an opportunity to learn to do better. · Always maintain your spirit of adventure. For his 80th birthday, Buzz went diving in the Galapagos and hitched a ride on a whale shark. He stays fit, energetic, and fascinated with life. No Dream Is Too High is a beautiful memento, a thought-provoking set of ideas, and a new opportunity for Buzz Aldrin to connect with the masses of people who recognize his unique place in human history.

Book Description
‘The note inside the sea bottle’ has three , diverse parts to it . It is diverse in a way that there is no common theme or link between the chapters, making it an unusual book. Unusual , but poetic and real. ‘The beginning of an end’ is a concluding letter of life to destiny . It traces a line over the phases of life which each of us has to go in our own ways . It’s something we all have a link to but that link has altogether different strings attached . ‘The Story of a girl’ opens the book to the many stories of that one girl . The one girl who was killed unborn , who wasn’t allowed to dream , the one who was abused, used and disposed of . Even though we say that times have changed, it's odd to find the same things happening over and over again. It sums up the many competing voices into one, calling for the simple notion of Gender Equality. ‘The Abstract Geometry’ is basically the genesis of us being here , holding this book , living in a world of art . Art has always unlocked all doors , freed spirits out of eternity and closed incurable wounds . Art is the mother of poetry and that brings us here , reading a piece of art.

Book Description
At the start of the twenty-first century challenges to the global hegemony of U.S. culture are more apparent than ever. Two of the contenders vying for the hearts, minds, bandwidths, and pocketbooks of the world’s consumers of culture (principally, popular culture) are India and South Korea. “Bollywood” and “Hallyu” are increasingly competing with “Hollywood”—either replacing it or filling a void in places where it never held sway. This critical multidisciplinary anthology places the mediascapes of India (the site of Bollywood), South Korea (fountainhead of Hallyu, aka the Korean Wave), and the United States (the site of Hollywood) in comparative dialogue to explore the transnational flows of technology, capital, and labor. It asks what sorts of political and economic shifts have occurred to make India and South Korea important alternative nodes of techno-cultural production, consumption, and contestation. By adopting comparative perspectives and mobile methodologies and linking popular culture to the industries that produce it as well as the industries it supports, Pop Empires connects films, music, television serials, stardom, and fandom to nation-building, diasporic identity formation, and transnational capital and labor. Additionally, via the juxtaposition of Bollywood and Hallyu, as not only synecdoches of national affiliation but also discursive case studies, the contributors examine how popular culture intersects with race, gender, and empire in relation to the global movement of peoples, goods, and ideas.

Book Description
Mind genomics is the next level of apprehension of human behavior. It seeks to comprehend what drives consumers and people in general in their day-to-day decision making. It reaches out where surveys and focus groups are inadequate tools to help us better understand how people feel and how they will behave in a particular situation. While allowing for a more encapsulating method that works well with big data, mind genomics offers a more nuanced view of the complex societal and political reality. Applying Mind Genomics to Social Sciences presents an overview of mind genomics as applied to the food industry, commerce, business services, tourism, healthcare, and even legal service. Its focus, however, explores the new avenues of mind genomics in social and political sciences. The book offers a combination of rich data combined with a new methodological approach and fresh analytical insights, which helps us better grasp and understand the complex reality of society. Covering topics such as human thought, decision making, and cognitive science, this premier reference source is a dynamic resource for political scientists, sociologists, psychologists, business leaders, marketers, government officials, journalists, students and faculty of higher education, libraries, doctoral and postdoctoral candidates, researchers, and academicians.
