Disease Germs Their Supposed Nature
Author: Lionel S. Beale
Publisher:
ISBN: 9781330572597
Category : Science
Languages : en
Pages : 112
Book Description
Excerpt from Disease Germs Their Supposed Nature: An Original Investigation, With Critical Remarks The views advanced in this volume have been entertained by me for some years. The facts upon which they are based have been referred to in several papers, and especially in my Report on the Cattle Plague to the Royal Commissioners, published in 1866. They have also been frequently mentioned in my lectures during the last six or seven years. The general conclusions at which I have arrived were sketched briefly in the last course of lectures I delivered at Oxford by direction of the Radcliffe Trustees. The mode of investigation adopted for the preparation of the specimens for examination under the highest magnifying powers is the same that I have employed for many years past, and has been described in detail in other works. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. Find more at www.forgottenbooks.com This book is a reproduction of an important historical work. Forgotten Books uses state-of-the-art technology to digitally reconstruct the work, preserving the original format whilst repairing imperfections present in the aged copy. We do, however, repair the vast majority of imperfections successfully; any imperfections that remain are intentionally left to preserve the state of such historical works.
