Si verifica una visione che sconvolge un uomo che io chiamo “Luce”. Questa visione è come un uragano, sconvolge la sua esistenza e quella di tutta la famiglia. La storia inizia nella metà degli anni settanta del XX secolo, in un paese alle falde del monte Somma, Somma Vesuviana, in provincia di Napoli, in Campania. Molte persone hanno frequentato la sua abitazione per avere un sostegno. Ho tentato di interpretare il fenomeno attraverso il comportamento e la comunicazione che veniva instaurata nelle relazioni con le persone che frequentavano la sua abitazione. Tramite uno studio empirico e scientifico ho cercato nel mio piccolo di estirpare tutte le situazioni irrazionali che si verificano, soprattutto i comportamenti messi in atto dalle persone per capire se era suggestione o era davvero una forza spirituale che emanava la luce, che modificava i comportamenti delle persone. In sostanza se era opera del Trascendentale o dell’essere umano. Ho studiato in primis il comportamento della “Luce”, che era colui che ha avuto la visione, e che ha sostenuto di avere messo le sue mani in quelle di Gesù o di Dio. Sono passati più di quarant’anni da questi eventi irrazionali, ma la mia testardaggine ha cercato delle risposte razionali e scientifiche a questi eventi. La fenomenologia è stata un evento molto sentito da tutti. Ho indagato attraverso gli studi di Edmund Husserl di strutturare gli eventi, ho messo da parte le credenze di tutti coloro che frequentavano la setta nella quale tutti sostenevano che fosse opera di Dio, ho studiato i testi sacri (Bibbia e Vangelo) e li ho rapportati alle teorie sociologiche per avere dei risultati scientifici e razionali. Mediante gli studi, sono arrivato alla conclusione che l’umanità è sostenuta esternamente al corpo da forze che io chiamo energie, che determinano il comportamento sia nel bene che nel male. Mi domando se sia vera questa fenomenologia, perché si è verificata, che cosa ha voluto comunicare il Trascendentale agli esseri umani. La fenomenologia si propone originariamente come scienza rigorosa che mira all’indagine di essenze; procede però non per deduzione, ma per descrizione; ne consegue che non si propone né come una conoscenza idiografica, né come sapere normativo. Tornare alle cose stesse significa superare la disposizione naturale o ingenua, non pensare i fatti come dati positivi, ma risalire ai fenomeni e al loro darsi.

In the first part of The Divine in Husserl and Other Explorations a description is provided of Husserl’s method in order to explain how he deals with the question of God from a philosophical perspective. The results from this investigation are compared with the main contributions of the philosophers of the past. The second part focuses on the theme of religion as developed by Husserl in order to grasp the meaning of religious lived-experiences. This bibliography contains the publications of Husserl and the main secondary literature on Husserl, from Husserl's earliest publication (1887) till today (1997). As the collection of material was conduded in lune 1997, the list of publications for the year 1997 is of course incomplete. In this bibliography publications in the following languages have been induded: German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Dutch - for both primary and secondary literature. Since this bibliography has been based primarily on the consultation of the induded documents (and not restricted to copying already existing bibliographies), it was not possible to indude publications in languages other than those mentioned. The bibliography has been constructed in the following way: 1. The list of Husserl's works and secondary literature by individual authors is preceded by a list of all edited volumes in which a text by or on Husserl is published. This list is ordered chronologica11y and runs from 1921 ti11 1997 (inclusive). Edited volumes of the same year are classified according to language, and this in the order mentioned above: German, English, French, etc. Edited volumes with a title in more than one language are classified according to the above order of languages (this of course concerns only the title of the edited volume, not the title(s) of the individual contributions). This order is maintained throughout the other parts of the bibliography.

The following bibliography, arranged chronologically, permits the reader to follow the development of phenomenological studies in Italy in parallel with other, contemporary, cultural currents. From this list it can be seen that knowledge of Hussed's work begins in 1923 with the studies of A. Banfi. Phenomenology, however, did not immediately receive a warm welcome. It contrasted with the then dominant neo-idealism (as has been made clear by G. De Ruggiero), but for this very reason it also found adherents among the opponents of idealism. These were either distant heirs of positivism, who accepted Hussed on account of his scientific approach and rigor, or Christian oriented thinkers, who, following an initial period of diffidence toward the antimetaphysical attitude of phenomenological analysis, gradually began to use this method as an antiidealist instrument - even though the problem remained of Hussed's own transcendental idealism and the value to be attributed to it. Despite the difficulties encountered on the way, the numerous studies carried out in Italy prior to Wodd War II make it clear that the better known philosophers who have left a mark on Italian culture already had begun to take a discreet interest in phenomenology.
