This comprehensive book with charts, exercises, and bullet descriptions, yields an experiential understanding of basic Enneagram principles such as: • Authentic values and their personality substitutes • Resourceful and non-resourceful cognitive, emotional, and behavioral schemas and how they shift under stressful and flow conditions • Developmental influences • The three centers of sorting and deciding • The defense mechanisms, principles and paradigms, virtues, passions, and both healthy and maladaptive instincts of each of the nine Enneagram personality types. For centuries -- and now in the light of leading-edge psychology—the Enneagram has helped people to recognize their predispositions, motives, and talents. Dental Hygiene and Nursing Students as They Compare on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator
Author: Bonnie Upchurch
Publisher:
ISBN:
Category : Dental hygienists
Languages : en
Pages : 46
Book Description
The purpose of this study was to investigate the personality type preferences of dental hygiene and nursing students at the University of Alaska Anchorage. Using the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator volunteer dental hygiene students (N=36) and junior level nursing students (N=31) who were currently enrolled or who graduated the previous year were tested to determine their personality type. The data were compared using Chi square. It was found that there was no significant difference in personality type in either of these groups, but it was noted that both dental hygiene and nursing students were predominantly Sensing/Judging types on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. Further study was recommended with a larger sample randomly selected.
