It may be well to reprint in full from The Cambridge University Reporter of 23rd February, 1904, the letter in which Dr. Stanton communicated his offer to the Vice-Chancellor of the University: - "The Senate last June accepted the proposal of the Special Board for Divinity to add to Part II. of the Theological Tripos a new Section on the Philosophy of Religion and Christian Ethics, the first examination in which is to be held in June 1906.
