Many reminisce about the America they grew up in: an America where moral values were the national standard; where patriotism was common place; where parents were respected and God was honored. Unfortunately, those days have been replaced by disintegrating family structures and a corrupt political system supported by secretive cabals. If we think that the election of one president, one or two congressmen, or a senator will solve our problems, the great American experiment is doomed. We need to look no further than the Bernie Sanders rallies to understand that our youth are being seduced by dogmas and doctrines designed to deliver America into the hands of communism through its socialistic cousin. It is being done by alienating America from Americans through revisionist history and the destruction of our moral fiber. This program has been designed to strike at the heart of the beast that is determined to destroy our Constitutional Republic. The Bible says: "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge..." Hosea 4:6. Today, the knowledge base of our children is being eroded with lopsided teachings that censor the good and emphasize the bad about America - all while dividing us in the process. In addition, our children are also being taught to mock God as the Creator through intimidating teachings in evolution that are just as corrupt as the political system that has enabled them. As a result, our liberty that is dependent upon the presence of God, (2 Cor. 3:17), is in danger of disintegration. For morality, good government, and godly citizenship are incontrovertibly co-dependent. Lord Acton once said, "Liberty becomes a question of morals more than of politics." Thomas Jefferson concurred when he wrote, "God who gave us life gave us liberty. And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are a gift of God?" Think about this: if our children are indoctrinated with the belief that the whole idea of God is nothing but an archaic belief held by less enlightened people, then they are free to do whatever is right in their own eyes - without limitations and without conscience, and including the idea that our liberties are endowed upon us by our Creator.The bad news is that this one/two punch has been devastating; but the good news is that it is reversible. This program has been designed to come alongside of parents to enable them to meet their god-given directive to raise godly and strong-minded children who can properly defend their faith, as well as understand the lures of the bad "isms" of this world parading as Utopia. Therefore, the first segment of this program is dedicated to presenting the powerful counterpoint arguments to the icons of evolutionary theory - those which have been cleverly censored in government-run schools and destroyed the faith of many trusting students. The second part of this program teaches basic points of American history, as well as the basic principles that founded our nation, including the good and the bad. A year after the end of the Second World War, the first International Summer Course for New Music took place in the Kranichstein Hunting Lodge, near the city of Darmstadt in Germany. The course, commonly referred to later as the Darmstadt course, was intended to familiarize young composers and musicians with the music that, only a few years earlier, had been denounced as degenerate by the Nazi regime, and it soon developed into one of the most important events in contemporary music. Having returned to Germany in 1949 from exile in the United States, Adorno was a regular participant at Darmstadt from 1950 on. In 1955 he gave a series of lectures on the young Schoenberg, using the latter’s work to illustrate the relation between tradition and the avant-garde. Adorno’s three double-length lectures on the young Schoenberg, in which he spoke as a passionate advocate for the composer whom Boulez had declared dead, were his first at Darmstadt to be recorded on tape. The relation between tradition and the avant-garde was the leitmotif of the lectures that followed, which continued over the next decade. Adorno also dealt in detail with problems of composition in contemporary music, and he often accompanied his lectures with off-the-cuff musical improvisations. The five lecture courses he gave at Darmstadt between 1955 and 1966 were all recorded and subsequently transcribed, and they are published here for the first time in English. This volume is a unique document on the theory and history of the New Music. It will be of great value to anyone interested in the work of Adorno and critical theory, in German intellectual and cultural history, and in the history of modern music.
