Book Description
L'ETUDE CONCERNE LE DEPOT PAR SPIN-COATING DE COUCHES MINCES SOL-GEL, EN VUE DE LA REALISATION DE SYSTEMES ANTIREFLET. IL EST MONTRE QUE L'EPAISSEUR DU FILM EST FONCTION DE LA TEMPERATURE DE DEPOT, DE LA PRESSION PARTIELLE DES SOLVANTS, DE LEUR VITESSE D'EVAPORATION, DE LA VITESSE DE ROTATION DU SUBSTRAT ET DE LA CONCENTRATION DES SOLUTIONS. PAR CONTRE, L'INDICE DE REFRACTION RESTE CONSTANT QUELS QUE SOIENT LES VALEURS DE CES PARAMETRES. ON PEUT CONCLURE QUE LA COUCHE NE GELIFIE PAS LORS DU DEPOT MAIS LORS DU TRAITEMENT THERMIQUE. LA FAIBLE TEMPERATURE DE TRAITEMENT THERMIQUE IMPOSEE PAR LE CHOIX DES SUBSTRATS UTILISES CONDUIT A RECHERCHER D'AUTRES VOIES POUR DENSIFIER LES COUCHES. DES TECHNIQUES CHIMIQUES (PH, EVAPORATION SOUS VIDE) ET PHYSIQUES (TRAITEMENT FLASH, COMPRESSION ISOSTATIQUE) SONT ANALYSEES. LA SOLUTION REALISEE A PH = 1 ET EN HYDROLYSANT SEPAREMENT LES DIFFERENTS PRECURSEURS, SEMBLE ETRE LA MEILLEURE. BIEN QUE DELICATE A REPRODUIRE, LA TECHNIQUE DE TRAITEMENT FLASH PEUT EGALEMENT S'AVERER EFFICACE. ENFIN, UN REVETEMENT ANTIREFLET EST REALISE SUR LA BASE D'UN EMPILEMENT A TROIS COUCHES. LA PREMIERE COUCHE EST UN AGENT DE COUPLAGE: LE CHLORURE METACRYLIQUE DE CHROME. SUR CETTE COUCHE EST DEPOSEE UNE COUCHE D'OXYDE DE TITANE EN REALISANT L'HYDROLYSE D'UN ALCOXYDE GRACE A L'HUMIDITE DE L'AIR. L'AJOUT D'UNE COUCHE DE SILICE CONFERE A NOTRE DEPOT DE BONNES PROPRIETES ANTIREFLET, COMPARABLES A CELLES QUI AVAIENT ETE MODELISEES INITIALEMENT

Book Description

Book Description
J.-P. CALISTE, A. TRUYOL AND J. WESTBROOK The Series, "Data and Knowledge in a Changing World", exemplifies CODATA's primary purpose of collecting, from widely different fields, a wealth of information on efficient exploitation of data for progress in science and technology and making that information available to scientists and engineers. A separate and complementary CODATA Reference Series will present Directories of compiled and evaluated data and Glossaries of data-related terms. The present book "Thermodynamic Modeling and Materials Data Engineering" discusses thermodynamic, structural, systemic and heuristic approaches to the modeling of complex materials behavior in condensed phases, both fluids and solids, in order to evaluate their potential applications. Itwas inspired by the Symposium on "Materials and Structural Properties" held during the 14th International CODATA Conference in Chambery, France. The quality of the contributions to this Symposium motivated us to present" a coherent book of interest to the field. Updated contributions inspired by Symposium discussions and selections from other CODATA workshops concerning material properties data and Computer Aided Design combine to highlight the complexity of material data issues on experimental, theoretical and simulation levels Articles were selected for their pertinence in three areas. Complex data leading to interesting developments and tools such as: • new developments in state equations and their applications, • prediction and validation of physical and energy data by group correlations for pure compounds, • modeling and prediction of mixture properties.

Book Description
This book is primarily an introduction to the vast family of ceramic materials. The first part is devoted to the basics of ceramics and processes: raw materials, powders synthesis, shaping and sintering. It discusses traditional ceramics as well as “technical” ceramics – both oxide and non-oxide – which have multiple developments. The second part focuses on properties and applications, and discusses both structural and functional ceramics, including bioceramics. The fields of abrasion, cutting and tribology illustrate the importance of mechanical properties. It also deals with the questions/answers of a ceramicist regarding electronuclear technology. As chemistry is an essential discipline for ceramicists, the book shows, in particular, what soft chemistry can contribute as a result of sol-gel methods.
