Since Sofia Cavalletti and Gianna Gobbi founded the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) in Rome seventy years ago, they approached children’s catechesis with a focus on Scripture and liturgy, and solidly based their approach on the Montessori principles of education.
