Book Description
This atlas represents a compilation of illustrations and both gross and microscopic photographs of classic neuropathologic lesions and neuroanatomic structures. The authors have attempted to give the reader a brief photographic overview of the field of neuropathology. Indeed, many of the photographs are excellent, clearly demonstrating a pathologic process. The sections on congenital malformations, lipidoses, mucopolysaccharidoses, leukodystrophies, vascular lesions, normal anatomy of the spinal cord and brain, pathologic conditions affecting the cord, cerebral infarctions, infections, and intranuclear and intracytoplasmic bodies are especially well done. Occasionally, the magnification that was used was too low to clearly demonstrate the pathologic lesion, such as the microscopic photograph of the spinal cord illustrating loss of anterior horn cells.

Book Description
Divided into fourteen chapters, this text and full-color atlas is a complete overview of the pathologic and clinical aspects of neurologic diseases. Clinical Neuropathology is written for practicing neurologists and pathologists, as well as residents and fellows preparing for the neurology and pathology boards. It provides information on the structural alterations of nervous system diseases along with their clinical manifestations. The first two chapters cover the process and goals of the neuropathologic exam and histological reactions particular to the nervous system. Subsequent chapters review major disease categories, with each section containing an overview of pathologic and clinical characteristics in general, a description of the gross and histologic features along with their clinical features, and data on pathogenetic mechanisms. Filled with tables to clarify major points, case histories to provide clinical correlates, and Board-type chapter review questions with answers and explanations, this text will be a valuable addition to all individual and reference libraries. Key Benefits: Almost 600 full color illustrations. Case histories, keyed to images, provide clinical correlation with pathology. Over 90 tables summarizing key points: useful for quick reference and exam preparation. End-of-chapter Board-type questions, with answers and explanations, for self-assessment and exam preparation.

Book Description
Color Atlas of Equine Pathology offers a practical guide to identifying equine diseases, presenting a single resource with more than 1000 images showing predominantly gross pathology. Organized by body systems, the book allows for picture matching during or after an equine necropsy. In this user-friendly atlas, each chapter takes a common format, presenting the disease process as well as congenital, degenerative, inflammatory, and neoplastic sequences, with text boxes offering quick reference to key information. The book begins with an introductory chapter summarizing the principles of the equine field necropsy, and subsequent organ-based chapters depict gross features of disease, focusing on macroscopic digital images supplemented by histology and immunohistochemistry when necessary. Some clinical information for correlation with pathology is included. Color Atlas of Equine Pathology is an essential resource for diagnostic veterinary pathologists and pathology residents, as well as for equine practitioners performing necropsies in the field.
