Book Description
Redheads Have More Fun! Eight-year-old Tim Thorneton had decided he wanted a mom, and a baby sister—a baby sister with red hair…. Charlotte Darnelle wanted to make one thing clear—she was not a redhead. She was a strawberry blonde, and any man who thought otherwise was in deep trouble. Needless to say, Matthew Thorneton was in it up to his neck! It seemed Matt would stop at nothing to get his hands on the Colorado ranch that Charlotte had just inherited. He'd even tried kissing her into selling out. She was going to show him that this little city girl could look like a lady and still be as tough as a no-good cowboy with sexy brown eyes.

Book Description
The Jameson Raid was a pivotal moment in the history of South Africa, linking events from the Anglo-Boer War to the declaration of the Union of South Africa in 1910. For more than a century, the failed revolution has been interpreted through the lens of British imperialism, with responsibility laid at the feet of Cecil Rhodes. Yet, the raid was less a serious attempt to overthrow a Boer government than a wild adventure with transnational roots in American filibustering. In The Cowboy Capitalist, renowned South African historian Charles van Onselen challenges a historiography of over 120 years, locating the raid in American rather than British history and forcing us to rethink the histories of at least three nations. Through a close look at the little-remembered figure of John Hays Hammond, a confidant of both Rhodes and Jameson, he discovers the American Old West on the South African Highveld. This radical reinterpretation challenges the commonly held belief that the Jameson Raid was quintessentially British and, in doing so, drives splinters into our understanding of events as far forward as South Africa’s critical 1948 general election, with which the foundations of Grand Apartheid were laid.

Book Description
Evil had to be defeated and he had a responsibility to help. Now it was too late to do anything but spend the lives of millions of young men to defeat this new Dark Age. The mountains were witness to Sidney's determination to stand tall against the darkness. "Those mountains have always been there. They can be my memorial if I don't come back." This family story spans five generations through the Indian Wars of the Dakotas and Montana, both world wars and Vietnam. It speaks to the heartbreak war often brings when young men roll the dice to answer the call of duty. The story weaves tales of separation, unrequited love, intense romance and devotion to promises and honour. At it's heart, this is an anti war story that illustrates how family can be devastated by conflict while also speaking to the healing of spirit that passes from one generation to the next.
