Book Description
Discover what you truly want. If you establish your will firmly, all creations of the Universe wrap supporting energy around you. Therefore, you will gain power. If you dont gain power, that is because your goal is not clear. Evolution basically means knowing. It is to know about yourself, about God, about nature as well as about birth-aging-illness-death. Once you realize these, once you know the direction which the Universe is headed for, you will then evolve. Why did the Creator make human beings to be imperfect? Why did He make human beings like this and have them feel pain, grief and sorrow? How did He make human beings and how much did He involve Himself? The purpose of the Universes creation is evolution, and the Earth is the planet which was created as a training center. The purpose of human beings born on this planet is only evolution through experience. Likewise, if you can become well-aware that the Earth is a school and that people are born to learn lessons, you will be pleased by all the affairs happening to you because they are teaching materials that make you profound by presenting you with experiences.

Book Description
One of the hallmarks of the modern world has been the stunning rise of the natural sciences. The exponential expansion of scientific knowledge and the accompanying technology that so impact on our daily lives are truly remarkable. But what is often taken for granted is the enviable epistemic-credit rating of scientific knowledge: science is authoritative, science inspires confidence, science is right. Yet it has not always been so. In the seventeenth century the situation was markedly different: competing sources of authority, shifting disciplinary boundaries, emerging modes of experimental practice and methodological reflection were some of the constituents in a quite different mélange in which knowledge of nature was by no means p- eminent. It was the desire to probe the underlying causes of the shift from the early modern ‘nature-knowledge’ to modern science that was one of the stimuli for the ‘Origins of Modernity: Early Modern Thought 1543–1789’ conference held in Sydney in July 2002. How and why did modern science emerge from its early modern roots to the dominant position which it enjoys in today’s post-modern world? Under the auspices of the International Society for Intellectual History, The University of New South Wales and The University of Sydney, a group of historians and philosophers of science gathered to discuss this issue. However, it soon became clear that a prior question needed to be settled first: the question as to the precise nature of the quest for knowledge of the natural realm in the seventeenth century.

Book Description
Recently the history of science in early modern Europe has been both invigorated and obscured by divisions between scholars of different schools. One school tends to claim that rigorous textual analysis provides the key to the development of science, whereas others tend to focus on the social and cultural contexts within which disciplines grew. This volume challenges such divisions, suggesting that multiple historical approaches are both legitimate and mutually complementary."--

Book Description
This volume brings together twelve articles by Patricia Crone dealing with pre-Islamic and Islamic religion, law and political thought. The first section focuses on the centuries before Islam, with studies on Mazdakism in Iran and on Islam as the key factor behind the outbreak of Iconoclasm in Byzantium. The second group of studies looks at problems in legal history, including the codification of the Qur'an, while the third investigates questions of political thought, amongst them a study of early Muslim anarchists, and an examination of the authorship of a work ascribed to al-Ghazali.
