Book Description
The Capitular Development Course for General Grand Chapter is now available. It is designed to educate Royal Arch Masons, in particular those who are members of the American or York Rite practiced in the United States and a number of other countries around the world. While the book may certainly be read on its own, having a copy of the Holy Bible to hand would assist in understanding much of the symbolism. This book is also intended to be used as a part of a course, run by a Facilitator, when a copy of the State Capitular Rituals should be used to accompany this course. Upon completion of the course, the Companion may consider himself both well versed in the message and symbolism of the Capitular Degrees, and qualified to pursue his own further education. To this end, a number of books and courses recommended for further study are given at the end of this book.

Book Description
This short course is meant to provide an Introduction to the Capitular Degrees for those who have decided to take the next step on Freemasonry, following the Three Blue Lodge Degrees. There are many excellent books about the symbolism of the Chapter, but many of them are about the English (or so-called 'Domatic') system, and don't make easy reading for an American reader. There are also number of impressive Monitors, written by great men and Masons. Thomas Smith Webb and Albert Gallatin Mackey are but two of these luminaries. However, again these serve more as reference books to those who are already familiar with the Rituals and their meaning. It is hoped that this book fills the gap for the modern Companion who needs a little help to understand the Capitular environment. For this reason this course, in addition to giving an overview of the Degree, also looks at practical topics, such as the organization of a Chapter, Grand Chapter, the Constitutions, the Charities, and General Grand Chapter.

Book Description
The Degree of Mark Master, which is the Fourth in the Masonic series, is, historically considered, of the utmost importance, since we are informed that, by its influence, each operative Mason, at the building of King Solomon's Temple, was known and distinguished, and the disorder and confusion which might otherwise have attended so immense an undertaking was completely prevented, and not only the craftsmen themselves, but every part of their workmanship was discriminated with the greatest nicety and the utmost facility. It is claimed by Masonic writers, that this Degree in Masonry was instituted by King Solomon, at the building of the Temple, for the purpose of detecting impostors, while paying wages to the craftsmen. Each operative was required to put his mark upon the product of his labor, and these distinctive marks were all known to the Senior Grand Warden. If any of the workmanship was found to be defective, it was a matter of no difficulty for the overseers to ascertain at once who was the imperfect craftsman, and remedy the defect. Thus the faulty workman was punished, without diminishing the wages of the diligent and faithful craftsmen. Today, Marks are not generally recorded; this duty is very much neglected--it should be done, and strictly enforced in every Lodge of Mark Master Masons. This Book of Marks allows you to actually register up to 500 Masons' Marks of your newly-admitted Brethren to be kept on record for all time. No Mark Masters Lodge or Royal Arch Chapter Library should be without one! Get a copy for your Lodge or Chapter today!

Book Description
Discover the remarkable history of the most widely known secretive fraternal organization in A Dictionary of Freemasonry. This comprehensive and convenient one-volume text includes a thorough encyclopedia, full dictionary of symbols, and over 300 beautiful nineteenth-century engravings. The 600-year-old brotherhood of Freemasons is based on a tradition over 3,000 years old. Robert Macoy, a member of the order, uses the resources of the Fraternity available to him, to discern the truth from a myriad of half-truths, rumors, superstitions, and interpretations. He presents the rise and evolution of Freemasonry and its kindred association both ancient and modern. The "General History of Freemasonry," which begins this volume, is a fascinating introduction to a very complicated subject often fraught with vagaries. The two A-to-Z reference works that follow (one an encyclopedia with listings of terms, people, places, and events that make up the extensive history of the Freemasons, and the other a dictionary of symbols) contribute to making this a very complete sourcebook on Freemasonry. From Aaron, the Abelites, and the All-Seeing Eye to the Year of Masonry, Zenith, and the Rite of Zinnendorf, this is a remarkably accessible book on a subject that runs through the course of human history. Robert Macoy (1815-1895), well known for his role in establishing the Order of the Eastern Star, earned the 33° and held many important positions with the Fraternity, such as past Deputy Grand Master and Grand Secretary of New York, as well as Grand Recorder of the Grand Commandery of New York. Founder of one of the largest Masonic publishing, regalia, and supply houses, he published extensively on Freemasonry and authored a number of books, including The Book of the Lodge and True Masonic Guide.
