Book Description
The backdrop to this story is set many years in the past, before our world and universe was created. Planets in a galaxy far away are dying and disintegrating. Powerful, despotic rulers govern and control the inhabitants of these planets with extreme, repressive brutal measures. Everything, even down to what can be performed and who can work in theatres, is controlled. Candle Dancers is the name of a variety troupe who travels between the planets in their spaceship, the Auriga Lick, to entertain the inhabitants. They perform often in very gritty, squalid venues, with shows, prescribed by the rulers, of thinly veiled pornography. The troupes life becomes complicated when their director is attacked, mortally wounded, and eventually pronounced dead. A group of his friends disbelieve the verdict and steal him away to restore him to life, which they successfully achieve. He decides to take revenge on his murderer, but unfortunately and accidentally, this revenge explodes, causing the despotic rulers to believe that they are under an attack from a terrorist organization. Their top female detective is brought out of retirement to investigate. She apprehends the perpetrator and then falls madly and irrevocably in love with him. A brutal response is exacted by the rulers, who believe they have been deceived. Will this beautiful, wonderful love survive the barbaric retaliation, or is it just an illusion?

Book Description
When you ask God to be your dance partner... The music never stops! CANDLEDANCING examines the synthesis of humanity's physical, mental, and spiritual dimensions by weaving together the words, thoughts, and feelings of its sincere yet disconcerted characters who seek to understand the meaning of their lives. Regardless of innocent intentions, all involved find themselves subject to reproof, and new light is shed on the mortal condition. A brilliant piece of drama in two acts, CANDLEDANCNG captures the essence of medieval theology within a modern scenario. An honest and easily adaptable piece for theatrical magic for university or community players, CANDLEDANCING is certainly an audience pleaser.

Book Description
The power of life to lift and transform us is so easily and so often obscured by our own power and politics. In choosing not to look, not to see, not to participate in life, the warm and beautiful light of even a single candle dancing against our darkness can be ignored or dismissed as distracting, unimportant, or irrelevant. But Truth eventually and inevitably wins. Climbing "up the mountain of enlightenment" takes the temerity of a Mother Agnes, the perspicacity of a Sister Kate, the purity and inspiration of our own Will. In CANDLEdancing, Coni Koepfinger invites us to center ourselves in all of these personal aspects, all of these parts of our own psyche, soul, and spirit. She weaves a medieval myth that allows us to envision "spiritual horizons" knowing that the garment she made will, like a baptismal garment, cover the "new person," the one reborn into higher consciousness. May you be enlightened by this tale and choose to be the CANDLEdancing.

Book Description
Sometimes, it only takes the actions of a few to make a positive impact on many. For Filipino native Tito Alquizola and his friends, it began in 1989 with a desire to pray with each other. What started as a small group of Filipino emigrants and friends meeting in a humble home soon turned into something much bigger than anyone could have imagined. Journeys tells the story of how a small prayer group became a large, Catholic devotional organization for the Santo Nio (Child Jesus), a countrywide devotion in the Philippines. Alquizola shares the history of the statue of the Santo Nio, which started in the late sixteenth century in the Philippines. This image has become a sense of home for Filipinos around the world. In addition, Alquiziola shares the personal stories of emigrants who, in their search for home, not only founded an organization, but also created a devotional family. Their dedication led to the opening of the Santo Nio Shrine at St. Paul Church in Tampa, Florida, and created peace and hope for many. An inspiring tale of faith and commitment, Journeys seeks to speak to your heart.
