Book Description
Subdivide and Conquer is a subdivision-based rhythm instruction method. It can be used in private lessons for any instrument and voice; for ensemble instruction with bands, choirs, orchestras, and other ensembles; and as a beginning snare drum book. Distinctive features include: When used with bands and orchestras, it provides the option of synchronous or asynchronous basic snare drum technique instruction. It can be used as a stand-alone subdivision-based beginning snare drum method book. It provides a narrative that can be used by instructors to teach concepts, and students to learn or review them. Development of an internal sense of beat is emphasized. Practice techniques are discussed and reinforced. Efficient and effective exercises and explanations, judiciously used subdivision counting syllables with foot-tapping arrow indications, and audio examples, are provided in recognition of the limited time most ensemble and private teachers have to instruct their students. Its text, efficiency, and ability to be used simultaneously with wind, string, percussion, and keyboard instruments can be helpful for virtual-learning environments. Typical rhythm development and snare drum methods use counting syllables to label notes, instead of to measure note lengths in a systematic way as with a subdivision-based approach. To illustrate the difference, with most methods a measure in 3/4 consisting of 4 sixteenth notes followed by 2 quarter notes have the sixteenth notes counted "1e&a" and the quarter notes counted "2, 3" (often leading to students playing the quarter notes as if they were eighth notes). Subdivide and Conquer would have the sixteenth notes counted "1e&a" and instead have the quarter notes counted "2e&a3e&a," thus using the syllables to measure the lengths of the notes instead of just labeling them. Subdivide and Conquer can help conquer rhythmic guesswork and imitation, and liberate accuracy and independence.

Book Description
In this year-long, 365-day format, each Biblically-based page contains a Scripture reading, a commentary and a short prayer. The same robust and energetic style that makes Bishop Long a popular minister, will also draw the reader into the pages of this book. Long contends that many times a Christian can get excited about what God promises, but fails to take advantage of God's personal training programs. This day-by-day guide trains, comforts, and challenges.

Book Description
"That's racist!" No statement in the twenty-first century triggers such a raw, polarizing, impassioned response as that short accusation. Racism is finding itself being applied to almost everything these days - politics, statues, history, graduations, books, movies, even math. Its role is no longer to describe oppression or genuine injustices in the world, but rather to promote and glamourize a political campaign, social movement, or fundraising effort in its name. In Divide & Conquer, author Jay Buenger analyzes the use of the political left's oldest and most trusted weapon - racism. He also dissects a number of other tools, from cancel culture, to government mandates, to propaganda, to mere feelings, that progressives and Washington elites are using to achieve their ultimate goal: power through division. Through the eyes of a long-time educator, Buenger warns of the true intentions of these weapons, and the effectiveness their use is having on our society - particularly on our minority communities and next generations. A cabal comprised of Democratic office holders, mainstream media, and the world of big tech are implementing a coordinated campaign to promote chaos and division, opening the door for excessive government reach and a one-way route to socialism. Divide & Conquer serves as a cautionary tale of the imminent dissolution our Republic faces if awareness and patriotism do not prevail. Jay Buenger was born and raised in the rural Texas town of Industry, TX - population 304. The son of a lifelong elementary teacher and country veterinarian, he developed the God-fearing, conservative values that he carries with him to this day. A love for sports and shaping America's youth led him into a career in teaching and coaching, a profession he has enjoyed for almost twenty years. Buenger currently resides just outside Brenham, TX with his beautiful wife, Elizabeth - also an educator of more than two decades. Along with a passion for writing, the two enjoy world-wide travel, cooking, and spending time outdoors in the tranquil Texas countryside. Jay is proud and excited to unveil Divide & Conquer, his debut publication.
