Book Description
My primary assignment in this place today is to break the cycle of financial hardship over families and if you believe it I want you to shout amen. One of the greatest agenda of Satan in this season is to cripple the body of Christ, to cripple families, to cripple individuals, to cripple marriages. And there are many tools that he is using, please listen to me, one of the greatest tools is poverty, lack, insufficiency, and financial struggles.Statistics tell us that 90% of failed marriages are directly or indirectly related to money issues. Many of our sisters have gotten into immorality, not because they want to but because of the reality of lack and poverty. Hallelujah, do you believe what I'm sharing? I need to know that you are interested in what I'm about to share because of it is dangerous and it can even be destructive if you try to teach people something they are not willing to receivethe kingdom of God and the advancement of the kingdom of God is suffering greatly all over the world, especially not because there are not zealous people but because there is an enemy of the gospel, it is called financial hardship. If you do not love God and you do not love to see souls saved and you do not want to see the people of God lifted, you will never find value in what I'm about to teach because the church is full of a lot of self-centeredness and selfishness and for many of us we believe that once we have enough "for myself, my wife, my 2 children and maybe a little offering to throw to the church" we believe that is alright, let the pastors go wherever they want to go, let the church of God go wherever it wants to go, let the church of God go very it wants to go, at least I'm comfortable. The truth is that there are many of us here, I may nor say we are in a state of poverty as it were, it is not like we don't have food to eat, it is not like we can't afford to wear a good cloth, it is not like you can't afford to be a blessing to one or two people, but we are in a state of insufficiency. A realm where it never gets enough and the agenda of Satan is to keep us in that state so that our entire lives become a journey that chases after money. If we are to be very sincere with ourselves, there are so many of us, the number one thought in our lives and our mind is money, money, money. As I'm mentioning the word money, some of you are already smiling, you just want to keep hearing it. Don't let anybody fool you, money is very important in this realm, please don't let anybody confuse you, without money there are many things that will not move forward in your life, without money the gospel is going to suffer.Read This Book and Be Blessed

Book Description
With the publication of his Gedichte in November of 1902, Hermann Hesse "arrived" as a literary figure in the German-speaking world. However, relatively little is known about the years immediately preceding this breakthrough. Through a great deal of "detective" work the author has succeeded in personally locating dozens of Hesse's previously unknown letters and manuscripts. These have been skillfully interwoven in this book along with a lively and most readable account of this crucial phase of Hesse's life from ca. 1899 to 1903. During this period Hesse worked as a bookseller in Basel, where he formed important friendships and creative alliances with writers, publishers, and journalists, described here for the first time. Moreover, during those years he devoted himself almost exclusively to the composition of "neo-Romantic" poetry, most notably his Notturni, handwritten sets of eight or more poems which he sold as unique collections. Two dozen of these poems are published here for the first time in the original.

Book Description
"Essential...in showcasing people who are persistent, clever, flawed, loving, struggling and full of contradictions, Broke affirms why it’s worth solving the hardest problems in our most challenging cities in the first place. " —Anna Clark, The New York Times "Through in-depth reporting of structural inequality as it affects real people in Detroit, Jodie Adams Kirshner's Broke examines one side of the economic divide in America" —Salon "What Broke really tells us is how systems of government, law and finance can crush even the hardiest of boot-strap pullers." —Brian Alexander, author of Glass House A galvanizing, narrative account of a city’s bankruptcy and its aftermath told through the lives of seven valiantly struggling Detroiters Bankruptcy and the austerity it represents have become a common "solution" for struggling American cities. What do the spending cuts and limited resources do to the lives of city residents? In Broke, Jodie Adams Kirshner follows seven Detroiters as they navigate life during and after their city's bankruptcy. Reggie loses his savings trying to make a habitable home for his family. Cindy fights drug use, prostitution, and dumping on her block. Lola commutes two hours a day to her suburban job. For them, financial issues are mired within the larger ramifications of poor urban policies, restorative negligence on the state and federal level and—even before the decision to declare Detroit bankrupt in 2013—the root causes of a city’s fiscal demise. Like Matthew Desmond’s Evicted, Broke looks at what municipal distress means, not just on paper but in practical—and personal—terms. More than 40 percent of Detroit’s 700,000 residents fall below the poverty line. Post-bankruptcy, they struggle with a broken real estate market, school system, and job market—and their lives have not improved. Detroit is emblematic. Kirshner makes a powerful argument that cities—the economic engine of America—are never quite given the aid that they need by either the state or federal government for their residents to survive, not to mention flourish. Success for all America’s citizens depends on equity of opportunity.

Book Description
A powerful guide to owning our emotions—even the difficult ones—in order to show up authentically in the world, from the popular therapist behind the Instagram account @sitwithwhit. Every day, we’re bombarded with pressure to be positive. From “good vibes only” and “life is good” memes, to endless reminders to “look on the bright side,” we’re constantly told that the key to happiness is silencing negativity wherever it crops up—in ourselves and in others. Even when faced with illness, loss, breakups, and other challenges, there’s little space for talking about our real feelings—and processing them so that we can feel better and move forward. But if non-stop positivity is the answer, why are so many of us anxious, depressed, and burned out? In this refreshingly honest guide, sought-after therapist Whitney Goodman shares the latest research along with everyday examples and client stories that reveal how damaging toxic positivity is to ourselves and our relationships, and presents simple ways to experience and work through difficult emotions. The result is more authenticity, connection, and growth—and ultimately, a path to showing up as you truly are.
