Book Description
This book is about a fictitious girl and boy seeing real birds in their own yard and in other places. The story originated many years ago when the author read a story in Birds and Blooms about a man who built a bird feeder for two children, who moved in next door to him, to help them enjoy the many birds that would come to the feeder. The author then attempted to take a picture of each bird he had seen in his lifetime (at this point in time--for ninety-three years) and put them in a book form with an eight-line poem about each bird for children to read and enjoy. Except for Sue and Drew and their mom and dad, the people, places, and circumstances are real, and all the bird pictures were taken by the author himself, unless otherwise noted in the credits. It is his hope that this book will help children of all ages, and adults as well, learn more about God's wonderful and beautiful flying creatures. Enjoy the birds!

Book Description
It was in the year 1877, before any of the children who read this book were born. We were living on one of the great reservations in the Indian Territory. Some one knocked at the door. When the door was opened, there stood a little Indian girl, her head all covered up in a bright shawl. She was shy, as Indian girls were before they had seen many white people. Very timidly she drew her hand from under her shawl and gave to us a baby mocking-bird. Then she turned and ran down the prairie toward her buffalo-skin lodge not far away. We understood. The little girl's name was Kitty-ka-tat. She had been to our house often. She knew that we liked pets of all kinds, and birds most of all, so she had captured this one for us by a kind of snare or trap. Of course we kept it, for we did not know where its nest was. We allowed it to use the whole house for a cage. It ate wherever we ate, and slept at night on the curtain pole above the window.

Book Description
A man that would not let any denomination decide for him what to believe; Charles Fox Parham was drawn by God at a young age. He began to read God's Word with no preconceived knowledge of doctrines or creeds. He maintained that childlike faith into his adult years. In 1900, he helped open a Bible school with the only textbook being the Bible. There was also no tuition charged, and the only requirement was the desire to be obedient to Jesus Christ. On a January night in 1901, the school was gathered in an upper room. They were praying and seeking God with one accord, when suddenly, God poured out the Holy Spirit. They began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave the ability. Read the story of how God transcended denominational lines giving birth to the modern Pentecostal movement. As well as many other teachings and beliefs of Charles Parham- A voice crying in the wilderness. Reprinted and Edited.
