B physics is at the core of the CDF agenda for Run II. With the Tevatron performance gradually improving, samples of data corresponding to about 70 pb−1 are now available. Due to improved detector capabilities these data already allow one to improve a number of Run I results, as well as perform a series of new measurements. Current CDF b-physics results are presented. The analysis is based on data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 4.4 pb−1 recorded with the CDF detector in 88--89 at the Fermilab Tevatron p{bar p} collider (√{bar s} = 1.8 TeV). Preliminary results include the differential cross section {sub dPt}/{sup d{sigma}(b)}, some reconstructed exclusive B-decays, a limit for the rare decay B° →??− and a measurement of B{bar B}-mixing parameters. Finally we will discuss the prospects concerning b-physics for the next data run which will start in February 1992. 12 refs., 8 figs.

Between 1992 to 1996, the CDF experiment has collected a data sample of 110 pb−1 of p{bar p} collisions at (square root)s = 1.8 TeV at the Fermilab Tevatron. In the year 2001 the Tevatron will commence p{bar p} collisions again at (square root)s = 2.0 TeV delivering an integrated luminosity of 1 fb−1 per year. In the mean time the CDF detector will have undergone substantial upgrades which will allow for a rich B physics program with unique capabilities. In this paper we discuss the B physics prospects at CDF with the data that will be collected during this upcoming Tevatron run.

Run II at the Tevatron has seen an explosion of results related to the B{sub s} meson, ranging from tests of QCD models, to probes of electro-weak symmetry breaking, to direct searches for new physics effects. I will briefly summarize the CDF and D0 B{sub s}-physics programs, describing the suitability of the detectors for doing this kind of physics, and pointing out how our knowledge of important quantities has improved through Run II measurements.
