Book Description
The years from 1960 until 1980 were probably the height of the 'Cold War' between the USSR and the Western nations, divided by Churchill's famous 'Iron Curtain'. The threat to world peace felt real and the West, in the form of NATO, needed a high-profile quick reaction force to address this threat to any NATO country with a common border with the USSR. The result was the formation, in 1960 of a new Force, the Allied Command Europe (ACE) Multinational Force, Land or AMF(L). In 1967, the Royal Corps of Signals added its first permanent unit to this force and this commitment continued until the disbandment of AMF(L) in 2002. Becoming an Arctic Warrior required each man to undertake specialist survival and winter warfare training in order to be able to fight effectively in extreme and inhospitable conditions. This book is a collection of individual soldiers experiences of serving with this force along the common borders with the USSR, predominantly in Arctic Norway, Turkey and Greece.

Book Description
In a moment where unlawful pipelines are built on Indigenous territories, the RCMP make illegal arrests of land defenders on unceded lands, and anti-Indigenous racism permeates on social media; the government lie that is reconciliation is exposed. Renowned lawyer, author, speaker and activist, Pamela Palmater returns to wade through media headlines and government propaganda and get to heart of key issues lost in the noise. Warrior Life: Indigenous Resistance and Resurgence is the second collection of writings by Palmater. In keeping with her previous works, numerous op-eds, media commentaries, YouTube channel videos and podcasts, Palmater’s work is fiercely anti-colonial, anti-racist, and more crucial than ever before. Palmater addresses a range of Indigenous issues — empty political promises, ongoing racism, sexualized genocide, government lawlessness, and the lie that is reconciliation — and makes the complex political and legal implications accessible to the public. From one of the most important, inspiring and fearless voices in Indigenous rights, decolonization, Canadian politics, social justice, earth justice and beyond, Warrior Life is an unflinching critique of the colonial project that is Canada and a rallying cry for Indigenous peoples and allies alike to forge a path toward a decolonial future through resistance and resurgence.

Book Description
"Arctic Warriors..." a story about the struggle between the defenders of freedom and the forces of tyranny in America's Northern most outpost. J.B. opened his eyes as the slick slowed, banked left and began its descent. The doors and studded floor were covered in streaks of frost laid on by the ships dash through the frigid arctic air. The nose of the Huey lifted a bit as the pilot flared the ship. The doors slammed back and they jumped into the night, landing on foreign soil. Scanning the tree line they waited. Nothing; the insertion was undetected. J.B. thought, 'their forest is no different than ours, just across the strip of water separating us, yet for me and mine this one is filled with danger.' He gathered the squad as the Huey raced away across the Bearing. Now they were alone. Trespassers, come to kill or retrieve a traitor.

Book Description
Hundreds of years have passed since Earth's last war. The planet's citizens are tranquil laborers who have achieved a utopian existence. Peace and harmony are the norm. Individuals who express anger or display violent tendencies are considered ill and are banished from society. Into this perfect world descend the Minith, a vicious race of off-world invaders. Their goal: ransack Earth's resources and enslave its population. Unable to defend their world from their alien oppressors, Earth's leaders and scientists labor to accomplish the impossible. Their goal: resurrect a fallen soldier from an earlier time -- someone who can rid their planet of the Minith and save the human race. It's the mid-21st century when Sergeant First Class Grant Justice is killed during an ambush on an enemy tank column. Six hundred years later, his body is retrieved from the frozen, arctic lake where he perished. Re-animated by a team of scientists, Grant awakens to a civilization that has abolished war. A civilization that has outlawed violence and cherishes Peace above all else. A civilization that has been enslaved by an alien race called the Minith. Grant is humankind's final hope against the alien menace. He must be... the Peace Warrior.
