El proyecto de investigación educativa realizado, tuvo como objetivo conocer las diferentes formas de lectura crítica en un grupo de estudiantes de grado noveno de un colegio distrital. El marco de investigación cualitativa que se abordó fue la fenomenografía y se llevó a cabo por medio de una intervención educativa realizada con un grupo de 27 estudiantes, con edades comprendidas entre los 13 y 15 años de edad mediante la implementación de tres talleres. La competencia del pensamiento crítico que se abordó, fue el estándar ocho propuesto por Paul y Elder (2005), denominado: Puntos de vista y marcos de referencia. A partir del análisis inductivo se establecieron categorías emergentes, las cuales se caracterizaron por habilidades del pensamiento que se correspondieron con niveles del pensamiento propuestos por Webb (2003). El análisis de los datos de texto escrito y visual se abordó desde los planteamientos del análisis de contenido Bardin (1996) y el método MERLI (Método de Lectura de las Imágenes que nos Rodean) propuesto por Acaso (2006), respectivamente. El análisis visual, fue un aporte a las formas de lectura de los estudiantes caracterizadas desde las habilidades de pensamiento y niveles de pensamiento propuesto por Webb (2003), dado que la identificación de las micronarrativas y las metanarrativas presentes en las producciones artísticas, permitieron visibilizar las características del mundo visual propio de los estudiantes que caracteriza su cultura visual particular. Así, como de la incidencia de la cultura visual presente en los medios masivos de comunicación en la construcción de la identidad propia. El reconocimiento del lenguaje visual como expresión comunicativa que posee sus propias formas de leer, escuchar, hablar y escribir, se hace imprescindible de ser abordado en el plan de estudios del área de artes plásticas y visuales en esta era digital y de consumo visual.

This collection calls for greater attention to the need for a clearer understanding of the role of discourse in the process of placemaking in the digital age and the increasing hybridisation of physical and virtual worlds. The volume outlines a new conceptualisation of place in the time of smartphones, whose technological and social affordances evoke placemaking as a collaborative endeavour which allows users to create and maintain a sense of community around place as shareable or collective experience. Taken together, the chapters argue for a greater emphasis on the ways in which users employ discourse to manage this physical-virtual interface in digital interactions and in turn, produce “remixed” cultural practices that draw on diverse digital semiotic resources and reflect their everyday experiences of place and location.
