Book Description
This guide has been produced with the aim of sharing our knowledge accumulated over decades diving in this wonderful reserve. We trust that by making this jewel that is the Medes Islands known, we will make you part of the fondness we have for this reserve and generate in the readers of this guide awareness of preservation, care and defense of the ecosystem that allows us to enjoy diving in this privileged environment. Through this guide we will show the different existing diving areas, the best itineraries to follow and the fauna that we would expect to find during the dives. The 3Ds that we use to illustrate the routes of the diving areas are recreations based on nautical charts of the area, but they are not intended to be an exact reproduction of the bottom, but rather a conceptual but realistic model that helps when to plan the most appropriate dives to our tastes and abilities. For the realization of this guide have been necessary not only many hours of writing, editing and layout of texts and photos; it has also been necessary to repeatedly visit the dive sites to take courses, depths and times in order to offer accurate and accurate information. That is why we want to thank you for purchasing our guide, and in this way help us to recover, at least partially, the resources and time dedicated to its creation. And if you find the guide useful and you like it, we will ask you to recommend it to your fellow divers. We also put at your disposal the different contact channels so that you can send us your comments and suggestions. And we will be happy to answer any questions you may have. We take this opportunity to thank the collaboration of Les Illes Diving Center, which is our diving center in l'Estartit.

Book Description
“Superbly written and action-packed, The Last Dive ranks with such adventure classics as The Perfect Storm and Into Thin Air.”—Tampa Tribune Spurred on by a fatal combination of obsession and ambition, Chris and Chrisy Rouse, an experienced father-son scuba diving team, hoped to achieve wide-spread recognition for their outstanding and controversial diving skills by solving the secrets of a mysterious, undocumented, World War II German U-boat that lay only a half day’s mission from New York Harbor. The Rouses found the ultimate cost of chasing their personal challenge: death from what divers dread the most—decompression sickness, or “the bends.” In this gripping recounting of their tragedy, author Bernie Chowdhury, himself an expert diver, explores the thrill-seeking, high-risk world of deep sea diving, its legendary figures, most celebrated triumphs, and notorious tragedies.
