Book Description
Excerpt from The Life of Jean-Jacques Olier: Founder of the Seminary of St. Sulpice The first edition of this biography formed the 20th and concluding volume of the series published by Messrs. Burns and Lambert under the general title of the Popular Library, of which the present writer was, after the issue of the first four volumes, the sole remain ing editor. The present revised and much extended edition was undertaken in response to recommendations which had reached the writer from more than one influential quarter, together with the expression of an earnest desire that the work should not be allowed to fall into Oblivion. He has therefore ventured to reproduce it in a form more worthy of its subject and better calculated, as he hopes, to engage the attention Of the English-speaking public. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. Find more at www.forgottenbooks.com This book is a reproduction of an important historical work.
