Excerpt: ...of the said board, to her Majesty's Attorney-General, together with such statements and particulars (if any) as in the opinion of the said board may be requisite or proper for the explanation of such case (d); and thereupon the said Attorney-General, if upon consideration of the circumstances he think fit, shall institute and prosecute such legal proceedings as he shall consider requisite or proper under the circumstances of such case, by information or petition in the Court of Chancery, or by application to a judge thereof at chambers (e), or to a district court of bankruptcy, or county court (f) under the jurisdiction given by this Act GO. (a) See s. 15, which does not preclude inquiries as to adverse claims. (6) As to recover the property thereof, withheld by persons claiming adversely. (c) As in Philpott v. St. George's Hospital, 28 L. J., Ch. 657, where it turned out that through the interests of the charity not having been duly represented, there had been a decree against it. (d) Not its proof. The "statements" would afford or suggest the means of proof; and the "case" would be of course nothing without them. (e) See s. 28. (/) See s. 32.
