Book Description
I was now a nineteen-year-old widow with three kids. Not too many people witness a murder. Then return to that same home and be reminded daily about the death of the person who was shot there and later died. Not just any person died there, but your husband and the father of your children. I am so sorry. Even though it was years ago, some memories never, fade. I cried day in and day out; I could not get it together. He died the same way his mother died, gun violence. Remembering how hurt he was when he lost his mother. I was so mad at God and thinking why would he let this happen.

Book Description
480 Codorus Street is the first book in a series of three books. it is an autobiography of the trials and tribulations of a young negro girl growing up in York, Pennsylvania in the 1940 - 1960s. This book covers a period of life from Sandra's birth to becoming a young adult. It is a story of Sandra's own life and of her courage and heroism. It tells the story of how life was during that time period. This is not a book of fiction but a book to challenge those who may be at their lowest point and in their deepest place in life from domestic violence, sexual assault, and maybe even the death of a loved one. Abuse of women and children was almost the norm in some black neighborhoods. Men felt that they owned their wives and children; they were property to do with as they pleased. The police did not intervene. The victims had no defense.Sandra shares in this book her hidden scars with the reader. She looks back and reflects upon her life, the assumptions she made about her life, and her family. How does one draw the line between punishment and abuse, forgiveness and mercy, justice and fairness? Sandra's struggles to forgive her father are overwhelming to the point that when she hears his name, her anger comes to the forefront of her deepest mental and psychological memories, which forces her to relive the past abuse that happened at 480 Codorus Street, York, Pennsylvania in the 1950s.Sandra L. Book Description
The decision to write 480 Codorus Street was one riddled with the need to share my story with future generations to ensure they know they can overcome adversity. However, there was also apprehension about reliving events that have left scars that have not completely healed. Without resilience, I would have never endured and conquered the challenges that were placed upon me. I have endured a lifetime of challenges that forced me to make the decision to surrender or fight. I chose to fight! Fight for my safety. Fight for my mother's belief in me. Fight for my Future. Fight for my children. Fight for my will to succeed and ultimately fight for MYSELF! Through all of the Unpredictability and Trials and Tribulations, I had Endurance and support from the Angels God put in my life in the form of my mother, my nanny, and my husband. My mother engulfed me in her gentle strength and unconditional love. She had faith that I would succeed and she was proud of me every step of the way. My nanny shared with me her wisdom and understanding of life. My husband Aaron, who has traveled this road with me through the memories that haunted me, the struggles we endured raising a family, and the losses I thought would kill me. Aaron's love comforted me and his compassion allowed him to understand when I thought he could not or would not. He continues to walk this road along with me creating new stories, traveling the world and spending time with our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Book Description
As a young man, Earvin “Magic” Johnson admired his father and other small-town entrepreneurs who created jobs and served as leaders in his Midwestern community. He worked for them, watched them, and his interest in building communities through economic development grew even while his basketball career flourished. His fame as an NBA star gave him access to some of the most successful business leaders in the country. It was Earvin’s own entrepreneurial spirit that inspired them to serve as his mentors. Earvin made the transition from great athlete to greater entrepreneur through hard work and by avidly pursuing opportunities. He recognized that densely populated urban communities were ripe for commercial and residential development. He partnered with major brands like Starbucks, 24 Hour Fitness, and T.G.I. Friday’s to lead a major economic push in these communities. The success of his businesses proved that ethnically diverse urban residents would welcome and support major brands if given the opportunity. Earvin continues to be a leader of urban economic development that provides jobs, goods, and a new spirit of community. 32 Ways to Be a Champion in Business will inspire and enlighten readers who wish to make a similar impact with their careers and business endeavors.
