Book Description
The 2015 Las Vegas Concierge's Reference guide was put together to help asset you with the Las Vegas Strip area. Las Vegas is a large and growing area for tourist and though it may seem that things are always changing, for the most part, they stay the same. This year however, we have seen two resorts reopen and renamed - SLS and Cromwell along with the Linq being completed. You may have a few stores, restaurants or even shows that may come and go, but most are in it for the long haul. I have gather information from all over the web, from visiting resorts, talking with people and any other ways to gain information that I can and put it together in one easy to use reference guide. The information contained in this book is just for reference only and when you are not sure of something, always double check. With guest having smart phones and access to the internet, they do not want you to spend the time looking things up on line when they can do that themselves. To them you look like you do not know what you are doing. Having all the information at your finger tips is a helpful tool. Looking at a resort and showing them all the stores or restaurants with the resort map is important to guest. Pulling up all the restaurants on the strip that have steak or Italian cuisine can help them plan there night without going from one end to the other. This is very important to guest in order for them to have the perfect vacation. We have many tools at are finger tips and though knowledge is the most important, Vegas is to large to remember it all. We have thousands of restaurants, stores and much more to go around. Whether you are looking for a guest favorite type of food or need to get them on a club list, this reference guide can help you. The guide has been put together in sections to help you find things with an easy turn of the page. The reference guide contains everything from most commonly asked questions to shops, restaurants, clubs, golf courses, wedding information, shows and much more. A central location (Planet Hollywood) was chosen in order to locate items around the strip along with driving directions. This only effects a few of the items with in this reference guide. Though some of the information might have been changed at the time this reference guide was put together, most is still the same. You will find in using it that guest are amazed by how much information is available just for the Las Vegas strip area. But again, this is just a reference guide only.

Book Description
From the author of the international best seller House of Leaves and National Book Award–nominated Only Revolutions comes a monumental new novel as dazzling as it is riveting. The Familiar (Volume 1) ranges from Mexico to Southeast Asia, from Venice, Italy, to Venice, California, with nine lives hanging in the balance, each called upon to make a terrifying choice. They include a therapist-in-training grappling with daughters as demanding as her patients; an ambitious East L.A. gang member contracted for violence; two scientists in Marfa, Texas, on the run from an organization powerful beyond imagining; plus a recovering addict in Singapore summoned at midnight by a desperate billionaire; and a programmer near Silicon Beach whose game engine might unleash consequences far exceeding the entertainment he intends. At the very heart, though, is a twelve-year-old girl named Xanther who one rainy day in May sets out with her father to get a dog, only to end up trying to save a creature as fragile as it is dangerous . . . which will change not only her life and the lives of those she has yet to encounter, but this world, too—or at least the world we think we know and the future we take for granted. (With full-color illustrations throughout.) Like the print edition, this eBook contains a complex image-based layout. It is most readable on e-reading devices with larger screen sizes.

Book Description
Along with "what happens here stays here" and "Circus Circus isn't that bad," one of the biggest Las Vegas myths is that so-called insiders are the city's best sources of tips, reviews, and information. Often, however, obsessive Las Vegas visitors offer more trustworthy suggestions and accurate insights about the Las Vegas Strip and Fremont Street. An unapologetic Las Vegas outsider, author Tim Dressen shares advice, hints, and unfiltered opinions gathered as cohost of Five Hundy by Midnight, the Original Las Vegas Podcast, for more than a decade. With the same irreverent spirit as the podcast, The Outsiders' Guide to Las Vegas is packed with useful information, entertaining perspectives, and more than a few off-the-rails rants. This is the Las Vegas guide by an outsider, inspired by outsiders, and for outsiders.

NATIONAL BESTSELLER • A "fresh, genre-bending thriller” (Los Angeles Times) set in the near future when water is scarce and a spy, a hardened journalist and a young Texas migrant find themselves pawns in a corrupt game. "Think Chinatown meets Mad Max." NPR, All Things Considered In the near future, the Colorado River has dwindled to a trickle. Detective, assassin, and spy, Angel Velasquez “cuts” water for the Southern Nevada Water Authority, ensuring that its lush arcology developments can bloom in Las Vegas. When rumors of a game-changing water source surface in Phoenix, Angel is sent south, hunting for answers that seem to evaporate as the heat index soars and the landscape becomes more and more oppressive. There, he encounters Lucy Monroe, a hardened journalist with her own agenda, and Maria Villarosa, a young Texas migrant, who dreams of escaping north. As bodies begin to pile up, the three find themselves pawns in a game far bigger and more corrupt than they could have imagined, and when water is more valuable than gold, alliances shift like sand, and the only truth in the desert is that someone will have to bleed if anyone hopes to drink.

NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • The beloved food critic and author of Tender at the Bone explores her path to healing through 136 delectable recipes. “No one writes as warmly and engagingly about the all-important intersection of food, life, love, and loss. This book is a lyrical and deeply intimate journey told through recipes, as only Ruth can do.”—Alice Waters A BEST BOOK OF THE YEAR: Los Angeles Times, NPR, Men’s Journal, BookPage, Booklist, Publishers Weekly In the fall of 2009, the food world was rocked when Gourmet magazine was abruptly shuttered by its parent company. No one was more stunned by this unexpected turn of events than its beloved editor in chief, Ruth Reichl, who suddenly faced an uncertain professional future. As she struggled to process what had seemed unthinkable, Reichl turned to the one place that had always provided sanctuary: the kitchen. My Kitchen Year follows the change of seasons—and Reichl’s emotions—as she slowly heals through the simple pleasures of cooking. Each dish Reichl prepares for herself—and for her family and friends—represents a life’s passion for food: a blistering ma po tofu that shakes Reichl out of the blues; a decadent grilled cheese sandwich that accompanies a rare sighting in the woods around her home; a rhubarb sundae that signals the arrival of spring. Part cookbook, part memoir, part paean to the household gods, My Kitchen Yearreveals a refreshingly vulnerable side of the world’s most famous food editor as she shares treasured recipes to be returned to again and again and again.
