'It could be done, but they are not going to do it as long as their thinking is based on nationalism, on motives of their own personal profit. It is a kind of diary but one that is little concerned with the day to day process of living, though very much aware of the natural world.

The book represents a critical history of crisis, arguably the most characterizing single word in the modern world and a major figuration or trope.
